Got £759 in holiday pay :beer: but car insurance cost £319, still that's sorted for another year and leaves me with a bit left over.

We have just been on holiday to Devon with Maddie and the step kids, bungalow was £800 for a week and we spent about £300 whilst down there but my Dad gave us £250 towards.

Was a pretty stressful holiday though with a whinging baby, she loves crawling all the time and couldn't on holiday in public places so was pretty frustrated most of the time!

No more holidays until she is walking now!

I am doing well on my new favourite market research site, earned £62 this month for not much time at all, and was paid £16 on Friday for the months before work, I have been accepted onto their mobile panel which pays £15 for each test you qualify for and managed to qualify for 2 this month.

The normal tests are still £8 for 20ish mins work though!!!

Get sent about 4/5 tests a week but don't qualify for them all.

Thing is I now can't be bothered with the lower paying sites, so hoping I get a couple more before month end cut off and that next month is a good month too!

No news on my inheritance though, luckily my savings are now at £2100 with the extra holiday pay.

Do still have bits to eBay though.....

Have you tried shop + scan?

Did shop and scan years ago and loved it but stopped during split with my ex/house move and never been accepted since

Earned another £15 from the website today so £77 so far this month! Still 2 days for more tests then rolls into Septembers pay.

Hope that's a good month too as all helps towards my barclaycard and means my savings can stay ok.

A house is up for sale in my village for £225k, I think they are deluded if they think they can get it but gives me hope for our house if they do.

I would ideally like to move out of here by time Maddie is 3 as I want to be able to walk her to school.

Depending on my inheritance though depends on when we can move.

OH's kids are officially moving into their Mums partners house in a few weeks and will be starting their new school in September.

Means we don't have to move to where they did live which was always OHs original plan.

I am not too fussed about living there, its a nice town but I think we should consider moving somewhere cheaper but think with OH it's there or nothing!

£23 earned today from market research company.....BUT Maddie did chew the price tag whilst I was doing one of the tests on a £20 pair of shorts I wanted to take back for a refund as they didn't fit so really only made £3! :cool:

Oooops been a while since I posted but August was manic as Maddie turned 1! I now have a toddler! :eek:

She can't walk yet though so still a baby lol.

The house is still up for sale Becky, things take months to sell in our village, we have no shops etc so it limits who wants to live here. You get a lot of house for your money though.

I sold the shorts Maddie chewed on eBay for £10 though so made some money back lol.

I made £47 on market research site last month, not a lot but was so busy, £8 made this month, hoping it goes up a bit!

Nan's house sale completed a few weeks ago but no clue when getting money still.

I still have majority of my savings but household bills account is getting really low now. Might have to top it up with some of my savings.

Maddie needs a new autumn winter wardrobe though so trying to sell some bits of hers, sold some clothes on eBay but after fees it really wasn't worth it, think will give it all to charity shop next time!

In short we are getting skinter!

That house has sold now, will have to nosey on Zoopla soon for how much!

I have an informal job interview tomorrow for a position at a dog day care centre, no idea if it's going to be feasible to do it around Maddie but I have always wanted to work with animals and have my qualification in animal management that needs using.

Could be good if it works though, although part of me is feeling bad at the idea of leaving Maddie, hadn't planned on getting a job until she was 3 and at pre-school.

I won't be looking for work if this doesn't happen, I just got told about it and it's up my street. I wouldn't make much though if we have to put Maddie in nursery.

Well job interview never happened as found out more info and wasn't for me!

I have finally started my counselling for what happened during Maddie's birth so hopefully that will help me with closure.

Anyway....onto money, savings still at £2k but I only paid £70 off the Barclaycard this month. Sold some of Maddie's stuff we no longer need which covered some costs this month.

I do owe our house account £85 though for monies borrowed in August, well TBH i prob owe it more than that but I lose count.

We are only having about £500 left over in that account at the end of each month after bills go out.

OH did get a £1800 bonus from work this month but I won't see much of that, I am hoping to get a few little treats from it though and we need to think about getting a new front door as ours is wooden and has splits on the inside covered by tape!!

Now OH kids aren't here in week our food bill should be less though and I am trying to shop more at Lidl/Aldi but tbh Tesco is normally easier!

Also trying to make sure I only put diesel in my car once a month, think I managed it this month! Not got far to go over next few days and will fill up at beginning of October.

But I have two dental appointments in October and vaccinations for one of my cats too so the savings will drop again!

Not really getting much time to do my money making but since June I have earned £202 from the market research site I am doing tests for and that's helping a bit! Need to find something similar but that's not likely.

No idea when I will get my inheritance, if it's not happened by Feb I will need to look into doing another balance transfer though! :cool:

Ooooo been a while.

Money is starting to dwindle in my savings..... got about £1750 in it at the moment and my credit card is currently standing at £2473....

Still no sign of my inheritance coming through.

Our household account is getting less and less too, thank god we get a council tax break soon.

I have started selling Usborne's childrens books to try and earn me some money, had a flying start but expect it will be less over next few months, I have a few Christmas events over next few weeks though so hoping I will sell some stock to help towards pressies.

Luckily I can take Maddie to some of the events I am doing or I do them at weekends/evenings.

Very frugal Christmas here though, told OH to not get me anything as I can't afford to get him anything and my budget for everyone elses kids is £10 each.

TBH i wish we could skip Christmas this year!

I am in two minds about trying to get an evening job, it's looking like OH might need to start doing some overtime as we can't let it keep dwindling.

To say I am getting worried is an understatement....
