From U.K. to Copenhagen by coach?

  • After 2 days on a coach, you will gladly hop on the plane for 1.5 hour journey it takes to get to Copenhagen, and I speak as someone who does not like flying and has travelled for days on coaches and trains before. As much as I like coaches and trains, it can become very uncomfortable and tiring when its such a long journey. In my opinion, you would be better going by train and get a sleeper carriage overnight or stop off overnight in a hotel on the way to break up the journey - this will not be a cheap option but it will be a lot more pleasant.

Whatever you choose I hope you enjoy your holiday, Copenhagen is a lovely city to visit.

Or get the overnight ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam as suggested above. Daytime travel Scotland to Newcastle, and daytime travel (probably) from Amsterdam to Copenhagen.

If going by train from Scotland it doesn't really make sense to go all the way down to London and getting the Eurostar.
