Denied insurance as a new driver due to spoiler?!

Hey everyone, I have purchased a car that's new and it has a spoiler fitted as part of an additional pack. Looking for insurance I got it to a reasonable amount, but I did call them to clarify 'modifications'
Turns out direct line and Churchill will now not insure me due to the spoiler and the fact I'm a new driver.
I feel really helpless and stuck. Had I not called them my insurance would be invalid if I had purchased online.
Has anyone had experience of this, can you recommend a insurance com

Have you tried all the comparison sites etc?
Or maybe chris knotts insurance?
Is the spoiler like an ironing board or something lol?0 -
Which companies have you tried so far?0

Direct line and Churchill, direct line day it will be 5 years before they insure me. The difficulty I have is unless I call them I don't know if it's a problem or not? I checked and checked all my details. All it said was if the car is modified to call them so they can add it manually, the guy on the phone said the same. Then it turns out I can't be insured x0

Remove it and restore it to factory standard.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

Fitting a "spoiler" often has a greater effect than a "factory option sport pack" which contains a spoiler. The former is fitted by boy racers. What car is it and what options have you chosen ?0

The spoiler has been fitted by the manufacturer before I get the car and is part of an appearance pack. It's a Toyota Yaris with an appearance pack.0

Could Toyota remove it? If so will it damage the car, or reduce it's value?0

I can not believe nobody will insure you because you have a factory fitted spoiler.
