    I can't see your blue cable from here but if it came with the router, yes it will be an Ethernet cable. The socket on the PC if you have one, will obviously be the same type as on the router.

    • do u have to enter a username and password to get on to the net normally? ( u can get dialup broadband)
    so you have

    a cable going from ur wall into a box.

    then another box which plugs into the first box?

    then that second box plugs into your pc rite?

    nope dont have to put username or anything in it just loads up straight away.

    we have the cable (modem) from the wall which plugs into this small blue box then the box has a usb cable at the other end of it which connects to the computer. we only have one box there isnt two

  • well everyone is asking diff questions, so its trying to be solved in 3 diff ways....

    and from that ur modem is a USB modem, so u will need to speak to NTl and tell them u want a USB and ethernet modem. or just a ethernet modem.

    which may look something simlar to the old telewest modem

    All NTL modems have both USB and Ethernet, therefore no "need to speak to NTL".

  • just off the sounds of this, it doesnt seem like it does. well if it does all u need is an ethernet cable. and thats it.

    just plug that into the belgin router than 1 into the PcC then setup the wireless
