I had an overdraft when i was a student and i find that if its there ill get used to using it every month and it took 4 years to get out of the overdraft rut.
Now im just better off leaving a little emergency money in my Halifax savings account and if need be i can draw on that if there comes an emergency :)

I have to ask then why not use the money in your Halifax saver to go on holiday and return it to the Halifax when you get home when the cheque will have cleared??
