    Hi all,

Just popping my head round the door.

Busy week what with work and getting DD,s new bedroom done, all plastered, painted, just needs woodwork finishing off, then wood flooring can go down this weekend - once she,s in, we can do up her current room for DS and we can have his smaller room as a hobby room

Best get on, taking MIL shopping in a bit

Date night tonight :kisses2: and Teens away for weekend so no cooking :o Really get annoying when they 'forget' to let me know they don,t want meals - too much going to waste at the mo, need to work on that.......

    We,re definately pre-empty nesters now

    Morning everyone,

I do hope that everybody is well, if not you have my best wishes.

Looks like it's going to be another lovely day, i have two lots of bedding to hang out on the line today.

I didn't get all my chores done yesterday, i am feeling a bit sorry for myself the last few days i hope it passes soon. I have my usual Friday chores list and some of yesterdays list to try and get through.

No idea what i am making for dinner tonight, will need to rummage in the freezers.

    Have a great day everyone

    Regards
    :j
  • Morning (((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one, especially Elona and her husband, I do hope the news was favourable yesterday.

We are off this morning to the hospital again!! OH has to have an echo on his carotid artery. We will go early to be sure of getting into the car park. I have a parcel to post on the way.

I hope that we do hot have any hospital visits for quite a while, they are going to build a new A & E dept and also a multi storey car park which is badly needed, but they are putting it on the old car park, so heaven knows where we will have to park whilst its being built.

Sunny morning, thought we would wake up to rain, OH is putting the bin out for collection. Hope the sun stays until this afternoon I want to cut the back grass.

OH is doind a little more each day, still complaining he is tired, I wonder how he thinks I cope? The WRVS lady came yesterday, nothing they can do, so the sooner we get into SH the better, then at least I know there will be someone on hand if I am out. Age UK run a service, £14.50 an hour.....how people manage to pay that I really do not know, that would be £60 for 4 hours. He does not get that in attendance allowance.

Thats it for now folks may be back later.........................

    Hi everybody.

We had hoped to get scan results yesterday but he was too weak to be taken to the department to hear what they were and the notes were not typed up.

Still no news so waiting by the phone hoping to hear something after ward rounds. Failing that I will visit at two and hope to hear something then.

Two DD very sweetly tackled our bedroom as I had not been able to do much in case it disturbed DH so it is alll dusted, hoovered polished etc. I even managed to unpack the case from ten days ago :j:beer:

Have lamb burgers from local butcher for tonight and might make potato salad to go with it.

Bought DH two new pairs of pjs and took them to the hospital last night.

DD and SIL driving here tomorrow and depending on the news youngest might be coming back too.

    Hugs to all

  • Morning all,

Lovely here at the moment, sun shining, so the bed has been stripped, washing done and now outside drying, can't be bad.

Popped to the local Retail Park for a few bits and had a look around.

Csarina we have been known to eat a picnic lunch in the car just so we can have a parking space at our hospital. My appointments with the Oncologist are always in the afternoon, so we try to be there when the morning clinics have finished just to find a parking space - MAD

ELONA love and thoughts with you all, I hope DH is a little stronger today. You have some good girls with you who will look after you, although they must be upset to see the darling Dad so poorly. Look after yourself

Good Morning (Just enough of it left),
Hugs to the down and poorly :grouphug:

Sneaking on from the office again today :p.
Friday finally! It has been a long old week over here, can't wait to get my feet up this evening.

Looking miserable outside today, the sun has been trying but the clouds are too much.
Was up early enough to get a load of washing on the line before school run/work this morning, the rain is apparently making an appearance 2pm ish but luckily i am working from home this afternoon so it should stay nice and dry. Will do another load later and pop on the clothes horse. Need to give the bathroom a really good clean and a basket of clothes are to be put away- not much really.

DD is with her dad now until sun evening so i can get loads done over the weekend (rubbish weather forecast :(:().
Tea tonight will be pizza with a pile of spinach and lots of cheesy tv.

Right, on with the afternoon...Have good days people!xx

  • Elona ((((hugs))))

DH took me shopping this morning and I got home and had to go back to sleep. My poor chest is crackling away, antib's really should have kicked in by now.:(

DD has been called into work, so she is quite happy cos she has only had 8 hours so far this week. She is looking for something better, but jobs around here are few and far between, yet they are building ticky tacky flats by the hundreds , eighteen arable fields worth!

A friend had me in fits last night telling me how he scared the beejesus out of the Tory who knocked on his door. DH can't wait till they knock here!

This town is a Tory stronghold , but thy are really getting it in the neck about the persecution of the sick and disabled!

Meanmarie, I hope that you are in a better frame of mind today xxx

Czarina that is precisely why I refuse to give to these so called charities who rip people off with their excessive charges!

Its gone a lot cooler and is overcast now, this morning was ok.Nice while it lasted though.

Elona I hope you hear some encouraging news soon.

I should have been minding DGS this afternoon but he's got a temperature and a dicky tum bless him,so he wont be sleeping at DS new house for the 1st time yet.He took his cot over last night and he now has the tv and broadband installed. We took DGD over too so she could be familiar with it before she stays over tomorrow.

I've done lots of washing and dried outside while its been nice, there are some curtains out at the mo that are going to go in the childrens bedroom at DS2s.S'pose I should go and iron some of it now :D

Hope you all have a good weekend x

  • Horrendous trip to the hospital, the queue to get into the very limited parking was over a mile long and we were running out of time, there are two parking places at the side of the road, they charge more than the hospital car park, but to get in for our appointment time we had no option but to park there. We were fortunate to get out of the appointment within the hour, so it just cost us £2.

We have been to the library this afternoon to get fresh books, the town was jammed solid a very large Royal Mail van had broken down right on the junction on 4 roads, boy was it a mess!! we were lucky we were going in the opposite direction...........The traffic was solid everywhere.

We also took some plastic crates into the charity shop.........I will be going again to take my wedding suit and OH's dinner suit as well. The shop raises funds for our local children's hospice, Rainbows......I am trying to condense 2 wardrobes into one.......the multi hangers came this morning, very sturdy, they are metal and hold 6 garments.
  • Hope you get some encouraging news soon ELONA. What a worry for you and your DDs.

I have just come on to SCREAM! DD, BF and 3 DGDs went to the caravan straight from school and I got a phone SOS saying the water heater wasn't working, so talked her through the procedure on checking the pump etc. That was dead too! Try the trouble shooting guide in the manual. BF did that but it was no help. I've now had another call to say the lights are not working either!! But the plugs are all ok. I said must be a fuse so she whatsapped me a photo of the fuse box asking for instructions on what to do!!! AAArgh.
