Hi
Just wondering if anyone has got smart heating controls like Hive or Tado.
I want a system that is wireless and will work on a Worcester Bosch greenstar 37cdi.
I live in a 1930's 4 bed detached.
Has anyone got any recommendations or thoughts please. Good or bad
Thanks in advance.

Hi
Looks like I maybe wasting money by installing smart heating guys?
???0 -
Why?
I have Heat Genius, it does what it says on the web site.
Do you want to zone temperature? In a 4 bed depending on occupancy that might be a good idea.0 -

Maybe it's just me, but I consider it to be a pointless gimmick for gadget-freaks.
I have a thermostat to ensure that the heating only comes on when it's cold, and a timer to ensure that it comes on when I'm likely to need it. It's very rare that I bother adjusting it - the only thing I do is turn down the thermostat if I'm going away for a few days. And that's so easy, I could have it done by the time you've launched the app on a gadget.
I don't even bother to adjust the controls in the summer - the thermostat sorts that out for me.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -

Refreshing to hear that. Lots of people get taken in by something-for-nothing innovations.0 -

Think I'll stick with the same and keep my money.

From a money saving point of view, as long as your current timer/theromstat is setup correctly, and you turn the heating off when you go out, these new systems are unlikely to save much money.
Zoined system on the other hand could (HeatMiser Neo, Heat Genius, Honeywell Evohome etc) but cost more a lot more to install.
If you want the convenience, aesthetics, gimmick etc go for it, just take any money saving with a grain of salt.0
