Use a cashback site aswell. I switch every year between AA/RAC/Green Flag and they do some pretty good cashback deals with each new customer purchase so it ends up pretty reasonable.0

Another vote for Autoaid, been with them for about 8 years now.
If you are considering Start Rescue you should note that their Nationwide recovery is to "nearest garage or your home or your destination whichever is the nearest."
In most cases that means you only get towed to the nearest garage which is not how most motorists define "Nationwide Recovery"0 -

You don't say what type of car you have but if it's a Ford, you can get free breakdown cover with a Ford Motorcraft service.0

I havent had to use them yet as luckily havent had a breakdown but they have some good reviews and they have saved me a lot of money as their prices are very good for the cover
