Car checked under warranty broken down outside of warranty

Nonsense. No car should be thrown away until it is uneconomical to repair and these days second hand cars are so expensive that even a 15+ year old is usually cheaper to repair than replace. At that age a car is really a throw away item.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
They will have factored it into the price of the car. Telling you it's a goodwill gesture is just part of the sales spiel, I'm afraid. We didn't actually pay for it the garage just threw it in as a good will gesture. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -

I can understand why after the conversation I had with one of their reps who tried to tell me how an engine works..... I worked for an engine testing company. Absolute cowboys to say the least.0 -
i think all warranty companies are cowboys, the only warranties i have ever uses successfully are through main delaers! my RR needed quite a bit of work under(£2700) it's warranty after 11 months of my ownership, the car was collected, fixed, dropped off and they even cleaned it for me! didn't cost me a penny!Plan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].
[STRIKE]Save up for that rainy day[/STRIKE].
Start enjoying a stress debt free life.....now enjoying. thanks to all on MSE0 -
Yeah it's just unfortunate these people are allowed to get away with it. They said they only pay out for "sudden mechanical failure and if it has been caused by mechanical wear they do not cover it" I can't think of a single engine failure that isn't caused by mechanical wear in one way or another short of putting the engine together incorrectly.0
