And . . . . . .
Shops can charge what the heck they like and are free to raise the price of goods if they want, whenever they want. What exactly are you wanting done about it?0 -
You Could Still See The 18 Pounds Price Underneath!!!!!!!!!!!0

Not sure of your vent.
A new Harry Potter book has just come out, hence demand for Harry Potter goods has increased. Constant supply combined by increased demand = higher price.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Talking of jacking up prices. I bought my son's new school shoes in Clarkes the other day; we chose a pair of what the sales person said where 'last seasons stock' - fair enough they were the ones we wanted. She brought them out of the back of the shop as I had described the ones we wanted, they were not on display on the sale rail. There was a ticket in the box with £28.00 on it. I saw the ticket (which she then stuffed down the side of the tissue paper) and I asked how much they were. She replied she thought they were 'about' £28.00. When we went to the checkout she said 'oh, these are £30.00 now' - she looked at me, I looked at her (she was obviously a mind reader and could hear all the not very nice words flying around in my brain) and she then said, 'I'll give them to you for £28.00'. Well whoopy doo - I know it would only have been £2.00 extra but it really annoyed me.:hello:0

If you went into the travel agents and the brochure said that the holiday was £100 would you have paid £120 just because 'the computer said so'? I don't think so.:hello:0 -
the brochure said that the holiday was £100
You wouldnt find a holiday for £100 in a brochure so i have no experience of this0 -

A price in a brochure is an invitation to treat, in the same way that the price on something on a shelf is. There is no obligation on the retailer to sell at that price.Gone ... or have I?0 -
