Third vote Lands End - and look at their sensible white underwear as well. I only buy from Lands End when they have offers or sales - just get on their email list and check through. I have had some great bargains from them.0

Woohoo! Three votes now for Lands End, that's encouraging! :j Do you find that their white tees are thick and opaque enough to be able to wear them on their own without any issues of see-through-ness or skin showing through?
How are Lands End on their sizing, do they run large / small?
P.S.: A big "thanks!" to everybody who has answered so far - it's all food for thought, and it's nice to know of a variety of suitable white clothing options from different brands. It's great not to have to be wasting money buying white clothing online only to be disappointed when they actually arrive.

Take care if ordering as they use American sizes , I find them generous but no problem to return and excellent after sales guarantee.0

White is always going to be quite see through depending on the fabric thickness and quality etc. I buy cream tops or t shirts rather than stark white ones, pure white looks a bit harsh on me anyway. George at asda sells some nice very purse friendly tops in white.Britain is great but Manchester is greater0

Wallis do a lovely capped sleeved t-shirt with a gathered neckline for £10 in loads of colours. (some currently reduced to
The fabric is thicker than normal, not at all see through, but still lightweight and washes great.
Very flattering on most shapes and sizes.0
