I have a collegue who wants to go to Positano in Italy, it can be up to 10 - 20 miles out of the town, for 4 adults and two children, preferablly a villa. Anyone got any cheap ideas of where to look for a less expensive accommodation.
Many thanks

I've friends of a friend (all Italian) with a holiday home there that they rent out in summer. I'll ask size, location, price if you like. Let me know dates and I'll check availability. If this is no good, I've also asked for websites or companies which might help.0

Atrani is further along the coast, just round the corner (literally) from Amalfi and below Ravello. It's a lot cheaper (or at least it was when I was there a couple of years ago). It may be worth checking out.
It's absolutely beautiful around there, and still only about half an hour's (scary) bus-ride to Sorrento.

Hi jen_jen,
I've just received this from my UK based Italian friend:I got the reply from my friend this morning. The website is called https://www.summerinitaly.com (I think), the name of the house on the web is: villa la barchetta, the place is Praiano which is the one after Positano (personally I think is better not as busy as Positano but then they might like the noise and all the people around!). Remember if ur friend's friend has young kids it might not suit!
It might not be any good as it only sleeps four people, but there's lots more on the same site. Let me know if there's anything else you need asked.

we have stayed at praiano and it is a lovely place. In my opinion its better than positano as posiatano can get very busy and crowded with visiting tourists being bussed in daily. We visited positano and one day was enough for us. There are so many places to visit and praiano is perfect as there are very few queues for the buses, its nice and quiet and is perched on the cliffs over the sea.
https://www.ondaverde.it We stayed at the hotel ondaverde which was a super hotel. I am not sure what deal you can secure for 4 adults and 2 children but worth looking at the website for the nice music alone. The best work is the cheapest as the quality remains long after the price is forgotten0
