How to check where someone lives

I have the name and address of someone who I need to sort something out with. I have tried lots of ways of reasoning with them but with no joy so I am going to have to pay them a visit ! Before I set out on the 5 hour journey does anyone know - is there anyway that I can check that they do actually live at the address I have been given? I know its a legitimate address as I have looked it up on googlemaps but how can I find out if he lives there as I don't want a wasted journey.

    You can find if they live there but it won't guarentee they'll be in when yo get there.

    Yes unfortunately not RS but I suppose that is a chance I will have to take - as well as a sleeping bag and flask !!

    Wouldnt he be away at the army base?

    Have you tried google street view to see if anything looks familiar from the pictures you have seen? Garden/house in the background perhaps?

    And what exactly are you going to do when you 'pay him a visit'?! You'll probably end up 'paying a visit' to the hospital or the police station!

    And then what? Any action he takes during a visit is very likely to get him arrested or injured.
