Unfair negative feedback

  • All you can do is report the buyer and leave a calm, factual reply to the negative. Don't leave them a false positive feedback or you'll get a slap on your account. Leave nothing.
EBay is now a nightmare for sellers. I've just closed my account after nearly 15 years, just not worth it any more.

How do I leave a reply to the negative? Can't see anywhere. All I can see is leaving feedback for the buyer which has to be positive.
  • eBay feedback system has been broken ever since neg fb can only be given to sellers. I also think that buyers have stopped giving feedback for positively conducted sales, and given these failures how can you trust one foolish negative feedback? The DSRs hold more value to a seller's reputation so I would ignore that lone red circle.

    Hi Pennywise
    Don't despair!
I got my first negative feedback and was really upset ( it wasn't my fault and totally unfair)
I got in contact with EBAY and "spoke" to someone via the online chat form I explained what had happened. She agreed that the feedback was unfair and REMOVED IT - I'm sure you will be able to have the feedback removed. Good Luck Kind regards Chrissy

They went through a period of removing everything- but that has stopped now and virtually nothing at all is removed.

Have to agree with this and it is not just FB they won't remove...even unfair defects caused by buyer accidentally are not removed!

My buyer left pos FB stating they absolutely loved the item and wanted another one! but by accident they left a 1 star for 'item as desc'. They then went on to buy a second one and again left glowing FB and 5 stars across the board. They sent me a message stating they had accidentally left a 1 star rating on the first purchase and how could they put it right...yet ebay won't remove it as it 'wasn't clearly a mistake'??? WTH??

I got my negative feedback removed quite recently.

It was a clear case of unfair feedback and I was very sympathetically dealt with by the EBAY colleague I "spoke" to
