  • ELONA, that is good you will be having some support because you need to be well and be strong, it might also put your DDs minds at rest as well.

DH seems to have dipped now, after trying so hard to be well for your Blessing. Hopefully he just needs time to gather his strength.

    Take care both of you

  • ELONA when my dad was being treated for lung cancer the McMillan nurses were an absolute godsend to my Stepmum and to him. Thier help kept him at home until the last 2 weeks of his life when he was just needing more help than it was possible to give outside of a hospital. They are wonderful people, you'll get the help for DH and the support you need for you. Love and hugs, Lyn xxx.

    Afternoon all,

    Happy Birthday LW :)

Lonewhitewolf - Lots of positive things in your house :)

Lovely sunny day again, got two lots of washing done.

Back to work this morning but only a short stint, back to normal tomorrow. Had a walk with my friend earlier and a bit of a catch up.

Enjoy the rest of the day all :)

Managed to get DH upstairs, changed into pjs and settled into bed.

A couple of nurses came with some equipment and McMillan nurse is coming in the next few days. Results of scan on Thursday should make things clearer even if not what I want to hear.

Should be thinking about cooking dinner but just CBA . Might just reheat the beef, mash and peas from yesterday.

I think two dds are planning to drive us on Thursday so we are well supported, bless them.

    Hugs to all.

Didn't want to read and run - so just to say that my thoughts are with you. Difficult times ahead so please take all the help that is offered. McMillan nurses are great, well trained and very patient.

Don't post very often on this thread but wanted to say elona and csarina you are in my thoughts and I wish all the best for your DHs.

Tired mum I am sorry you are being harassed so much by your work; it seems to be a requirement in so many businesses now for a manager to ring a sick member of staff on a daily basis which might be welcome if for example you had a broken leg and were happy to keep in touch but with stress and anxiety it just adds to the problem. Can someone else take the calls for you and explain that it's not helping or could your GP write to your HR department?

Dumpling hope your SW visit is OK - keep smiling. After all they would go out of business if everyone stayed at their target weight lol.

    Happy birthday lame wolf:T

Elona - So glad you are getting some help, we used MacMillan when DH was ill, it was so nice to have a few hours proper sleep to re-charge the batteries a little. It was also better for the children as it gave them someone else to talk to and meant I was in a better mood too!

Csarina - Remember to look after yourself too.
