Happy Birthday LW
Have a howling good day
Tiredmum (((Hugs))) No job is worth that sort of stress xx
dumpling, I take it that you are on antid's, if so that could be a cause of weight gain/inability to lose weight, my DD has put on loads of weight, but she says the tablets that she is on are the only ones that work xx
Horrid and grey yesterday, but beautiful again today so I am catching up on the washing.
Not a good weekend, I have got DD's cough and as I am not allowed to use cough medicine I haven't slept well.
DH was checking under the bath because we had yet another leak and found out that the carpy waste had broken, this is a brand new bath from W****s, the actual plastic is so thin it isn't fit for purpose, luckily DH hadn't taken the old bath down to the tip, so he took the fittings from that, and the waste is metal. So problem solved.
I have noticed all plastic stuff is a hell of a lot thinner than 5 years ago, it is just a way to make more money out of us :mad::mad:
We are now going to get all of our plumbing stuff from an independent plumbing supplier.
In fact we have turned away more and more from the big companies including supermarkets in favour of local farms, butcher etc. Much better quality and at least they pay their taxes in this country!
Then DH managed to turn the freezer off, luckily DD spotted it as it was only off for an hour, I kept it shut, so the things in there should be ok.
To top it all I dropped a baking tray on my right big toe (corner side down) And forsooth did I scream:eek: woke up this morning to a very nasty black toe  I don't have any toe nails to cushion the impact so it hurts like hell, thank goodness the weather is dry, cos all I will be able to wear this week are sandals.
I have podiatry next week but DH wants me to see if I can get an emergency appointment today.
Not a chance, if anyone comes near it I will turn into the she hulk , it is that painful.
DH and DS are going to take a couple of car fulls of carp down to the tip today, which will clear some more space.
Coughing again so I am off to have a puff or two of ventolin to see if it helps.
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Good Morning All,
I do hope everyone is well, if not, you have my best wishes.
Happy Birthday Lone Wolf i hope you have a brilliant day.
Weather here is a bit dull at the moment but i think its going to brighten up, i have a lot of laundry to go out on the rope today.
I am having real trouble motivating myself to get moving so far. I think it's because the house is untidy as we started some DIY yesterday so there is all this stuff thats usually in the lounge is scattered throughout the rest of the house. Hopefully it will all be done by next weekend. We are planning on having a week off then starting on the hallway.
I have no idea whats for tea tonight and i cant be bothered to even look for something so DS can pick something out.
As a result my usual Monday list of chores is much reduced, so i better go and make a start.
Have a great day everyone
Regards:j0 -
tired mum if you have supplied a doctors certificate, then get your OH, or Mum whoever you can find to ask them to stop "harrassing " you. Set an appointment for your manager to phone to check you are ok.....If you are very stressed then this gives you a little control.....and not everyday either. Most workplaces do contact sick colleagues.
Can you get out for a long walk? Having been there I so empathise. ..I gave up work in the end and we downsized severely. This may well not be possible for you.
If you belong to a professional body or a union, ask for help and advice.
I hope you start to feel better soon.0 -
Morning (((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
I had to throw my toys out the pram with OH yesterday, it seems to have sunk in this time. We have an appointment with the INR nurse for a blood test this morning, I will leave him with the car at the Drs whilst I run up to the bank and into Morrisons for milk. OH is drinking milk instead of tea or coffee just now. Can you still get milk shake mixes??? have not seen them for years, but then have not really looked.
Fine bright morning, no laundry for me, might have some tomorrow, so hope the sun is to stay for a bit.0 -
csarina
You can still get both the powder and the syrup milk shakes but usually only in bigger supermarkets.
Taxi came at 7 to take DH to scan for 8a.m. Got home by taxi at eleven and driver had to help me inside supporting DH as he can hardly stand.
DDs are so worried (as am I) that they phoned our GP who will pop in around lunchtime.
Fingers crossed that they can help with the exhaustion, weakness and confusion.
DDs both say they will come home in a few days but house is a tip - I have not even unpacked from a week ago as I don't like to leave him.

Afternoon all,
Happy birthday LW....hope that its agood one!
Csarina...good on you girl, OH will eventually get the message that you are his carer, not his slave, I found in dealings with my late father and with OH that men take a long time to work that out!
Need to take OH to doc in the morning for prescription for chest infection, so needed to move my pedicure appointment as would never make both as scheduled.
Had a letter today from public hospital re my pre assessment for hip replacement! Rang hospital and politely informed them that I had replacement in December. Hadnt realised that I was on a list there, hopefully it will move someone up the list who is having a rough time with pain.
Need to pick up some food for DS3s dogs......no idea when their Daddy will be home, so cant let starve!
Speedy recovery to all who are under the weather or who have poorly family.

Elona sending hugs your way, can you not get any outside support to help you, hope your dh manages to rest and feels better.
Csarina hugs to you too, can you not get your dh milkshake type drinks on prescription that contain the essential nutrients for building up strength. I know my dm got some when my Dsd was ill.
Lame wolf - happy birthday, have a lovely day.
Day off today so as it is do beautiful, I have spent most of the morning in the garden. Washing on line first thing so hopefully will dry today.
Need to clean kitchen and empty dishwasher.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care0 -
Dr. just left after thorough check up and took some blood to be tested.
It does not look as if there is anything obvious that can be treated and a lot will depend on the results of the scan this morning which we find out later this week.
She is going to refer us to McMillan and district nurses for support as my trying to hold him up bodily does not look very safe!!!
