Hello Fellow MSE'rs
I am having a knightmare. I have to book 3 people, preferably in the same roon, for a stag night in Liverpool on 1st Sept. The city is basically sold out via the usual websites (laterooms etc...).
I am wondering if anyone has any expert advice or insider tips for me. The budget is about £30.00 per person so if anyone knows of any ways to utilise Halls of Residence, private accomadation, back doors to hotels etc then I would be obliged.
Liverpool is a knightmare of a city to book into for a Saturday. Basically the city sells out 12 months in advance because of the football season and the amount of travelling fans.
Help is much appreciated!!!
Cheers
Mike

Hi Have you tried www.visitliverpool.com or www.icliverpool.co.uk & https://www.liverpoolconfidential.com .
Sometimes contacting the hotel themselves gets better results too.
Hope this helps0 -
Have you considered travellodge? There is one directly in the city centre and one on the outskirts about 3-4 miles from centre. I think at weekend they are about £60 per room i think you can get 2 adults in but ive done it and got another person in as well.
And there are plenty of restaurants to have breakfast in the morning or you can pay approx £5 for breakfast at the lodge delivered to your door.
Hope that helps!0 -
if it's just one night, a trip to 'The Grafton' (nightspot) could mean that you get a bed for the night ...the only problem being you won't know until 3am where you are staying and boy oh boy will you regret it in the morning...so people tell me!!! allegedly and all that0

Im sure he'll get a great ten to twoer !!!
Try the IBIS and the Dolby which is about 10-15 minutes from the centre.
Also try the Innkeepers Lodge on Queens Drive. Its quite close to the Grafton and about 7-8 pounds in a taxi.0 -
there's a premier lodge at huyton ...the city looks very expensive and full that night....best of luck0

Hiya, The Ibis Hotel is available for £66 for a twin room. It is a shame the Hotel Formule 1 next door is booked up, you could have had 3 people in the room for under £30. Other hotels nearby (the Albert Dock area) include the Campanile and Dolby Hotel. From the advertising outside these hotels, they are quite reasonable.

The Formule 1 in Liverpool is absolutely disgusting. Avoid at all costs, a park bench would be a better option.
We made the mistake of booking it for a night 2 or 3 years back. It was absolutely filthy, hardly surprising when you saw the sort of staff they employ. I am sure they were vagrants given a bed for the night.
The rooms were dirty, smelly, and insecure. Every lock in the place had clearly been kicked in and not properly repaired, so you could not leave anything there and go out. Hordes of drunks ran around all night, screaming, shouting and arguing. The showers are communal, and by 8am were unusable. The toilets....oh, god, the toilets! They looked like they had been used to house farm animals.0 -
Locally the Formule 1 is known as a knocking shop, after all, anywhere where you can still get a room with a credit card when there are no staff on the front desk is bound to attract unsavoury characters. It is usually jam-packed with people on stag nights and hen nights whose soul intention is to get as plastered as possible.
Friends have stayed here in the past and said it was great
