The future for energy generation should be small scale / micro co-generation (electricity and heating) using energy from waste, gasification technology, CHP technology and roll out large scale district heating schemes. Lots of councils are now seriously looking at this, even large power stations can tap in to district networks. Seeing huge cooling towers wasting all that heat into the atmosphere is criminal where every house it is providing heat too has a boiler which could so easily be replaced."talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0
