ISA question

I opened a Post Office Easy Access Issue 2 last month. I see that Nationwide have an ISA which is paying 1.50%.
I would like to move the Post Office isa to Nationwide as I already have bank/credit card accounts there and I want to do a bit of financial housekeeping. I'm assuming its ok to move the Post Office isa to Nationwide without penalties and be able to pay in to the Nationwide isa. I have not made any payments to the Post Office isa this year.

If you have no money in the PO ISA and never paid any into it, you can just completely ignore that ISA and go ahead with a new one at a different provider. You must, however, only pay money into one of the ISAs this financial year.0

I do have money in the Post Office isa as I previously had one with them and when the rate dropped I opened a Easy Access Issue 2 last month and transferred the money in to it, I made no payments. Now I want to transfer that money to a Nationwide isa and make payments in to it.0

As long as the Post Office Easy Access ISA Issue 2 allows penalty free transfers, you can transfer it to Nationwide.
Ask Nationwide to arrange the transfer.
Have a read around the forum. There are some threads about difficulties experienced in accessing PO accounts though
Finally, before anyone else asks, are you sure a Cash ISA is the best home for your savings?

M&S Regular Saver and HSBC Regular Saver might be of interest, as could be the KRBS Monthly Saver if you live near a KRBS Branch.
BOS Vantage: you are allowed 3.0 -
Sorry, I do have three BOS Vantage accounts - I rename them as they are being used as saving accounts for my son.
I closed the M&S account so I would have to open a new one to have access to the regular saver....I keep telling myself i'm going to get round to doing this and as I now know of HSBC Regular Saver I'll be opening one of them up to.0 -

How old's your son? As there are things such as the Santander 123 Mini or the TSB Under 19s etc for the teenagers, and the Halifax Kids Savers for the younger ones.0 -

If the PO ISA is not a fixed-rate ISA then there will be no penalty for transferring it.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

If you have HSBC Advance account, take a look at the Save Together offer on their 1.5% Loyalty ISA. Transfer £300 (from previous year's ISA subscriptions if you want to pay in elsewhere in the current year) in in a lump sum and you'll qualify for £10 per month bonus0
