Employer won't allow me to claim fuel back from HMRC

You have the forms you complete for your employer to get them to pay you your 14p. Your employer will only pay you for business miles.0

True, but, if you travel to somewhere other than your normal place of work that part of the overall mileage is claimable (assuming your employer isn't paying you for it).
I have worked for employers in the past where I claimed the total mileage via expenses wherever I went that wasn't the office so got paid for it.
My current employer will only pay the difference between the two i.e. I have to deduct my normal Home - Office commute mileage before I complete my expense claim.
I then reclaim the unpaid mileage @ the 45p rate on a P87 form and my tax code is adjusted so that I am not out of pocket.0
