The thread wouldn't be the same without him. We need more posters not fewer. Too many good posters have just disappeared:o

I've had 2 occasions when I have pm'ed posters to ask them to remove a comment. Not for my benefit, I just knew it could unwittingly upset another poster. And it was done graciously as no malice was intended:A
I've also been asked to remove a post and I did it. We all know how tricky the written word can be:o
Surely that's the best way....then .......if you hit a brick wall report it. Speaking to someone privately, resolves the matter much more quickly and leads to less distress all round. Plus we all know how precarious the existence of this thread can be......do we really need to be giving the forum team unnecessary work?
Well said... I'll stop reporting Dotty now'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -
Quick post. As in poly tunnel and its freezing hope everyone is well hugs to fc hope all goes well. Xx
Please leave our David alone who ever is reporting him . his kind heart shines through even when he is winding up or giving someone a kick up the backside.and he makes us laugh when we need it .0 -

Morning luvlies
FC, so sorry to hear about your knee, glad you're getting it sorted quickly.
MM is getting much more common now, like nanny said can be attributed to sun exposure. Both my mum and DH have had melanomas removed. My mum had what was diagnosed by her GP surgery, and 3 different GPs I hasten to add, as an infected insect bite on her arm which went on for over 2 years. Eventually one Christmas, my DS was over (lives abroad) and said nan that doesn't look right to me, please go and get it checked out again. It turned out to be a Malignant Melenoma and her GPs were invited by her consultant to be trained in referring for skin cancers as her surgery didn't have a clue. She is covered by private health so was seen and dealt with very quickly.
So, I'm fair skinned like my mum and have a high chance of also getting MM, since her diagnosis I cover up completely in the sun, even wear loose long sleeved tops in the summer and 50+ block on my face and backs of my hands.
Three years ago this summer, I sent my DH to our GP as he had a mole in the centre of his chest which I noticed had become darker and more raised. He was referred straight away for removal of the mole which was diagnosed as MM. He went the NHS route and under the same team of surgeons as my mum at the Royal Free Hospital. He had further surgery and has a scar from one side of his chest to the other where they had to do a reverse tummy tuck on his chest. Also had bilateral sentinel node biopsy which were clear but had had the first nodes removed as a caution. Thankfully his breslow depth was shallow and it hadn't spread. He still has 3 monthly check ups and I was commended by his surgeon for pushing him to get it seen.
Just to reiterate really, please cover up in the sun and check your moles and lumps and bumps.:happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0 -
Morning all - windy but at least its dry so far.
I would usually be toddling off in the direction of waitrose to get the telegraph with the free plants - but I can't think of what to get for £10. Mind you I've got print off conditional spends they sent me - £20 spends ???

Well today is the day my sisters & I are taking a road trip to Surrey to 'surprise' my Mother for her 80th birthday
Unfortunately as I posted before I accidentally let her know:o:o by asking her if she wanted jam jars bought down.....
So hoping my Mother has rehearsed her 'surprised' face when she opens the door today :rotfl:;);)

You know I cant even reply to you what I want to because some boring person is going to report me yet again
You know what I think as we have already spoke about this :kisses3:
Just so people know have been reported 3 times at least in the last fortnight or so once for a post to ilgd that she laughed about, once for the post about a woman on the beach wearing a burka  and once for a post to fcSo on a yellow card now and fully expect a red by Tuesday
Someone is out to get me banned and they are going to succeed
I understand any one of my posts taken on their own could cause offence  but that is not how they are meant I am here to save a bit of money and have a
I am aware somewhere in the deep deep sections of my mind that there are some people who have such tiny lives that they feel the need to bring others down with them. When you don't have certain characteristics in your psyche its very difficult to be able to imagine that they exist in others but sadly they do.
To the cowards who stay in the shadows and decide for whatever small (and by small I mean microscopic) minded reason that they will report someone for a. a joke and b. not a joke at someones expense , a bit of well meant light hearted and entirely reciprocated banter...come out of the shadows..if you are that offended say so.
I won't read it of course because a. I couldn't care less what someone like you thinks and b. more importantly I do care what someone like David thinks so I will be very busy reading what he writes/says/posts/pictures etc etc etc etc
and I will enjoy every minute of what he says. Thank you David.:A NI FEIDIR ACH LE DIA BREITHIUNAS A DHEANAMH ORM0 -
