No.He said give it till Monday and if still on old site ring up again. He gave me a reference number.Perhaps somebody else should ring as well.I was only trying to glean some information from them but I didn't get any more than what we already know.0 -

Wanting you to go and use new site then. (Rather than keep retrying on the old, only to retrieve the same result.)
They do want the new site, probably in order to track and monitor everyone thoroughly as EE's website mentions tracking customers and capturing data about them!
I think eventually the aim is to have a system in which customers receive personalised vouchers, possibly at the till - they've been looking at that according to I think it was the Grocer magazine - or use newer technology such as apps. for customers to receive their vouchers, which could eventually see the end of wombles unfortunately. Savvybuyer wrote: »But they clearly do not know their own system if that is what they said! It also contradicts what they told me several years ago, unless it has changed. The point is that I understand that, once you check, it "locks in" the result you got, so that it is then no use checking the same receipt on the same old site again, even if you do so every day in the next 28 days, as it will now always return the same N/As result (I understand, once it's locked in as it now has been once you checked the first time).
But if people have been getting different results from old site and new it means that the old site and new are not working together in regards to locking the resuts.0 -

I've just rechecked one of mine that I printed out from the old site on the new site. Exactly the same result. Its a little bit larger than I would like, so wanted to make sure that if it gets challenged and they put it into the computer, the same results came up whichever site they get. Luckily for me they did!
Now to get brave enough to use it and get rid.

Was the expiry date the same or did you check on the same day?0 -

But if people have been getting different results from old site and new it means that the old site and new are not working together in regards to locking the resuts.
I didn't suggest that they were.
The two are two completely different systems, so locking on old affects the old only. I have no idea whether a locking system applies to the new site, once a receipt is checked there. I presume it does. On this, fwiw, I wonder whether it would be technically possible at the moment to obtain 20 vouchers a month on the same email and address details, i.e. 10 from each site? I doubt they would link the two together and have a cap working in that way.
The sites don't even give the same results! There can only be one answer as to whether they are 10% cheaper though and what the prices at the competitors would actually have been, regardless of what their two different systems say. Does perhaps put them on rather dodgy ground when it comes to defending whether they are 10% cheaper or not.
More to the point, maybe, it will in due course replace the old system which, ignoring the comp. vs M, was fairly reliable and you could tell what the prices were going to be, with a new system that is more haphazard and doesn't pick up items at competitors that the old one, rightly, did. Meanwhile, the old system has itself now gone to failing to refund ordinary customers 10% cheaper vs T, S and W as it's now returning own brands N/A.
Meanwhile, saying the new system is haphazard, yet sometimes it may be the opposite - the old currently does not seem to have linked up A's Satsumas 600g 87p with T's at 69p (quite apart from the current N/As throughout), the two products are not linked together on msm.co.uk. Are the 600g Satsumas comparing vs T at 69p on the new system?0 -

All this talk of RTC Fairy wul comparing at full price, when we all know that historically it wouldn't have done, combined with all the recent tinkering has got me thinking.10 x Fairy Clean & Fresh Washing Up Liquid Apple Orchar... £15.40 £11.90 A V M
10 x Fairy Clean & Fresh Washing Up Liquid Apple Orchar... £15.40 £10.00 A v T
Better against tosco
Buy in two's
Do you think it is possible that the msm link has now gone and the new setup doesn't see what you paid instore, just what is on A.com?
Is it possible that ALL rtc products might now compare at full price meaning that the need to buy them on a CC/HB has gone and you can just nip in to your local and clear the shelves?
Anyone fancy trying a test to see what happens? I'd do it myself but I have a few issues with my local at the moment..:whistle:0 -
