I hope the staff at my Asda are so understanding as your Asda manager I am dreading going with this big APG and really wishing now that I'd not got so carried away yesterday

For SFSB... I hope you dont mind
I went into my sada today and collared the manager asked if i can speak with him in his office. He was really nice and said of course. I briefly explained that a friend of mine that lives up north has been banned from using apgs in his store.. the manager was shocked . I said my friend sometimes shops every day with 3 4 5 or 6 transactions he asked wheres the problem in that ? I said my friend was told that hes abusing the apg system..he said thats ridiculous if hes shopping for family members / friends which im presuming he may be each person can have apgs up to £100 a month each. I went on to say the manager told my friend he had been onto asda house and they agreed my friend should be banned from using apgs..my manager said.........no way on earth would asda house say anything like that because its classed as turning customers away..I'll call asda house now and keep the phone on loud speaker which he did and the lady confirmed everything he had told me I suggest you ask your friend to call asda house himself and explain whats happened he may well be posted a gift card as an apology too...
The manager said to me I know you use apgs on a daily basis have any of my staff given you any problems ? I said only if the apg is over a tenner then they call a supervisor but thats it.. He said we all know the apg system has many flaws mainly when it does not pick up multi buys..and I know if I was a customer and saw multis not being picked up I would go back again and again thats only human nature.
So SFSB please ring asda house yourself cant hurt to queery this
What a lovely thing to do.Morning all.
Sorry to hear about your traumatic visit SFSB. How awful. Thanks so much for letting us know of all the glitches you find though as you have been super helpful. I rarely take part in these simply because the staff in my store are complete mooses. I do an APG shop once every 2 months but they feel it's OK for them to all gang up and watch me like hawks when I am putting my shopping through. It's quite unnerving when you have a crew of them glaring at you even when it's just a normal shop, no APG or glitch in sight. For instance, how wrong would it be if I was a lady and had bought a few boxes of Tampons or downstairs freshener if I had a smelly cat with all of them ganging up and glaring at me like I had done something wrong! And sometimes they follow me around in a store to see if I am doing anything wrong! I try and stay away from Sada now unless I really have to go. I don't like having a fan club of Sada staff.
Anyway, hope everyone is OK.
Talking of glitches, is there anything happening at the moment? I know there has been a lot of mention about Radox and Olay but I am full of flu and my head is all over the place.
I'm sorry, I just PMSL at your downstairs freshener for your smelly cat! :rotfl::rotfl::D0 -

What a lovely thought thinking of SFSB rather than the downside it could have had on you- you obviously have a lovely manager, I have never seen the manager of my store but I know possibly 50% of the staff would scrutinise coupons, apg etc. the staff have got a little better recently but I think its only because people near here don't tend to use coupons and apgs and most of the sas had never seen one- that was until I came along:cool:, so I have to be very careful. I 've only ever done 2 c+c and on the second occasion I went to cc and the sa said oh hello Mrs....... have you a c+c today, I said 'obviously you knew I was coming to collect my order' - he said no I have only just come on duty and you are my first customer,:o but saying that I was the only customer who had a c+c that day.
I've gone off on a tangent again:eek: anyway the morel of this is everyone has to be extra careful in their usual store, and hopefully SFSB may ring A house and get it sorted:)0 -
RE SFSB I think that maybe we all need to lower our profile with the APG.'S I am as guilty as everyone else in getting high APG's but I only go about once a month and never go over £100.00. Mainly due to lack of ASDA where I live though.
Perhaps everyone could slow down with the pics of large amounts of shampoo or hand wash as you do never know who's watching.
Having said that some of these assistants and supervisors are jobsworths. As I said to one on Friday when she wanted to reject my APG cause it was for more than I spent " well if the APG system gave it to me how can you reject it?
Must go off to work and then dentist for a root extraction. Lovely!!
I agree with this.
As with life in general there's always a couple of people who spoil it for others. I'm sure T and A will read this thread, I know it used to be posted on the old Boots thread that B00ts would read the thread. It's the same with the old T DTD before it got pulled
People posting pictures of huge stashes, and multiple, multiple shops at a number of stores is not helping.
I don't go to A very often and I had a bit of bother at the weekend trying to use a £7 APGeventually they accepted it but I will be avoiding that store for a few weeks, unfortunate as it's my closest (20 miles away!), so I'll go on the next store that's a few miles further on.
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -

Saw a lady once who was in front of me at Tesco that had about 20 bottles of whatever it's name is. The person on the till could not keep a straight face. She told me the customer must have a very smelly cat and it took about 5 minutes before I knew what she meant. Brings a totally different meaning to Phoebe off Friends singing Smelly Cat. LOL. :T:T:T0 -
