My vouchers from the new site won't scan but the SAs just enter the amount manually without any problems. Perhaps you could just try again with a different SA?

    you haven't.

my club for over 150 years was men only. (recently changed)
this was not sex discrimination as women have the same right to have a women only club.

so I guess they only have to say if the baby was a boy they would have run the same promotion obviously with a boys name.

That's one of the exemptions in what was the Sex Discrimination Act (not sure if it is still now the SDA or is the Equality Act:o:o).

The men-only clubs were an issue of controversy that remained. Completely different. There are other exemptions, none of which appear to apply here: e.g. artistic integrity. If the restaurants are not private member's clubs open to one sex only, then the provisions would apply. You mention "recently changed" - in other words you're far more up-to-date on this than I am!:o

(I almost didn't reply to your post, as I regarded your point about men's only clubs as irrelevant:o:o:o. :eek:I ought not to say that! But I do anyway:cool:. (No offence meant.) But... move on, it's a completely different point...! Sorry, I just have the image of a television debate...they are talking about one topic, someone else raises a different (or slightly different) one, presenter ignores them and they move on to another person who continues the original topic. I've ignored you zippy, but not because of anything personal, just it's a different area of law.)

EDIT: In reply to your last point, no, if it's not a private member's club (and you seem to suggest those have been outlawed - which may be true if I am out of date), then it would potentially be sex discrimination against women if they only allowed people with a boy's (or man's) name to get the free meal. It's provision of goods, services, facilities... not the point about admission or otherwise to private member's clubs. We'd be concerned with the actual promotion they are running, not hypothetical promotions that might or might not have been.

change your printer settings to get a better barcode. my apgs scan no problem on fast draft. I have printer set to 2 pages to an a4 sheet. I did post a pic of my settings one or 2 days ago.

I use a different browser. the one where I get the old is linked to my work network. but others have been able to see different sites on different browsers

Chrome, Safari and IE are all showing the new site for me. How are others managing to get the old one please?

(Will look for replies in the morning -- need to go to bed now! Goodnight all.)

It is a very, very sad day for me today and I have no idea if/how it will affect my future Elite shenanigans..:(

I went into my local A this morning for some normal shopping with my wife and daughter to get some bits for a bbq. I noticed a woman that I knew to be management looking in my direction and speaking to someone on her mobile.

Anyway, we carried on putting various bits in our trolley and 5 minutes later, this manager pulled me aside and asked if she could talk to me privately.

She told me that what I have been doing is not in the spirit of the apg scheme and I am therefore, from today, banned from using apg vouchers in the store. This is my only store within 20 odd miles so this decision effectively kills off instore glitching for me.

Probably my own doing as I got too friendly with some SAs (to make spending large apgs easier), however, it appears that some jealous SAs overheard conversations and went to management.

Might have to have a voddie or two tonight to get over the shock..:o:o

So sorry Sfsb - you could always move or get a disguise
