I understand your point. I have no way hit glitches as much as some of the reports on here, though have stocked up on some items sometimes so am not claiming to be an :A (personal use only, as it happens). My last "5" shop was one Dove, 1 handwash and then 3 "normal", one against M, one against T to match their offers and an A shop where they were cheaper.
As I also said, normal shopping has changed with this technique of matching out A v competitor offers (to get 10% off the offer prices) and keeping cheaper A shops separate, it is second nature now but does appear odd to normal customers and no doubt on the tills.

Dont get me wrong not having a go, everyone has to balance up the risk vs reward. If SFSB made say £20k from hammering for 4 years, but could stay undetected doing £10k in 4 years, it would take him a further 4 years to catch back up.
I know a few people here get significant quantities for boot sales, I never can do the math to shift alot of stuff. Say for example you manage to get 30 doves in one day, it takes 1.5 hours to do this, 0.5 hour to print out the APGs, and say 1 hour at a boot sale to shift them.
At what price would people actually buy them? I'd have thought you'd only shift them for £1.50 to £2.00 a piece meaning you'd get £60 from the 30 doves for 3 hours work. 20 quid is a good hourly rate but I doubt you'd shift all 30 so you'd have to commit to bootsalling every sunday.0 -
I try not to controversial:rotfl::rotfl:! Alright folks, whether I should have popped in or should not, I'll see you now and see you later: bye for now!

I just don't want to be seen as raising an objection to something that's just providing a little bit of good cheer "for the ladies", that's all.:)
(Although, I suppose, if something is for the ladies (or if it were, instead, only for the gentlemen) that's precisely why the legislation potentially kicks in in the first place.)
I think, from the money-saving perspective:
If you are called Charlotte go there, early enough, and take the free meal!
If you a man, go there (you'd have to be within the first 100 people that had invoked the promotion though), politely explain to them that you could never meet the condition of being called Charlotte, then leave and sue them for megabucks! However, I think in the early 80s, someone who did this (it was a situation of being refused a free bottle of bubbly for the ladies from a nightclub or something like that) ended up with derisory damages plus costs. Although would they have been 'awarded' that if it had been a free bottle for the men and the boot had been on the other foot so to speak? I don't know - perhaps time has moved on since then and things that would have been acceptable thirty years ago wouldn't be now.
And if you happen to be a woman with a non-Charlotte name, then it seems you're out of luck I'm afraid:(.
