Think you have been MIA again Hope you are well
I'm fine thanks, just been really busy recently. I'm usually lurking but will post if I have anything useful to say.
Did get my £65 TCB from Betfair the other day so thanks to whoever posted that originally, not something I've done before but very easy money. Still got a few quid in the account that I can't withdraw, I guess I have to phone them up as I have no plans to gamble on their site again.
Also had a £80 TCB claim declined from a new Nationwide Flex account that I'm currently chasing. Was hoping to open an account for my wife using a refer a friend (£50 each) and more cash back from Quidco but I think that was due to end yesterday (not checked but they might have extended it).
Got muddy knees and hand yesterday trying to reach a big receipt under a hedge. Wasn't worth the effort in the end as it didn't produce an APG. Luckily my missus didn't spot the mud on my jeans when I got home as she doesn't know about my wombling habits and would probably think I'd been up to something else.
Wife wants to try again for another baby but I don't want to go through any more heartbreak (coming up to the 1st anniversary of our most recent loss).0 -
Just back from holiday and have done my first CC with the new site. Although the shop has gone to Collected almost immediately, it now says I have to wait 24 hours for the comparison. Is this whats happening now or has something gone wrong please ?ELITE 5:2

I think there's a reference to Infant Milk formula being excluded under the new terms, so I demand that this be taken out!
A warning not to buy that pouch of cat food - seems they have something rather unpleasant picked up for M there! 60p in A but £2.24 in M - you show me where M has a pouch of cat food that's £2.24!:(
Would I have a voucher on the new site?

Expensive Activia yogs (at both stores), again - they fell for 2 for £3 mbuy - £1.50 each as opposed to offer prices of 90-odd p! Also they like paying 4 for £3 for Baxter's soups (75p:eek: four times over), instead of 59p or cheaper.

Am now in a quandry as what to do re the boiler.Insurance company rang and said the report came back that my boiler due to its age etc is only worth £200 and I have 2 options
1) have it repaired which will cost £550 they will give £200 towards it me paying the rest.
2)get a new boiler and they will give me £250 towards the new one and send in someone to give me a quote for this.Or get my own quote.
I have seven days to decide and I really don't know what to do:eek: will I be throwing my money away having it repaired for it to go wrong again and after all the trouble I have had I feel half inclined to say s-d the expense and go for a new one. What does the Elite think ?
I would go for the new one nanny.....but that's just me......I would hate to think you were throwing good money after bad, and you would kick yourself if it started going wrong again.....from what you are saying it seems like an old model. A new one will be super efficient and should be cheaper to run plus you will have peace of mind.
To help make up your mind, I would get a piece of paper and put the fors and againsts and see if you can come to a decision you will be happy with.To do is to be. Rousseau
