Am now in a quandry as what to do re the boiler.Insurance company rang and said the report came back that my boiler due to its age etc is only worth £200 and I have 2 options

    1) have it repaired which will cost £550 they will give £200 towards it me paying the rest.
2)get a new boiler and they will give me £250 towards the new one and send in someone to give me a quote for this.Or get my own quote.
I have seven days to decide and I really don't know what to do:eek: will I be throwing my money away having it repaired for it to go wrong again and after all the trouble I have had I feel half inclined to say s-d the expense and go for a new one. What does the Elite think ?

Free boiler if you're on Pension credit

I've also seen somewhere where you pay a monthly fee ( £10-15) I think , you get a free boiler, checks every year and free repairs. Can't find it at the mo but will post it when I do.

    Edit: I was a little out, it's £37 a month for 12 years

Oh Thanks Bubbs I have learned so much today - hadn't realised you had to wait 24 hours for an instore shop either! I am way behind with what's going on - been working far too many hours - will definitely catch up this weekend. Thanks to claire1972 with all the messages telling me what to buy xxx
