doesn't sound as overwhelming now:)
I know where to start so I will try and get wheels in motion next week.
One of the reasons I wanted the month to myself.mum is keen on this particular route. I could buy outright but worried about tying up all my money incase my kids need something. Knowing I have an investment to pay the balance of is my comfort blanket. Never know interest rates might rise one day or my premium bonds might come up.
I am very lucky to have been left in this position and need to know I am doing the right thing.
Sale on dad's is coming along slow and steady. Our buyers know if they lose their sale for any reason it will sell again straight away and we will wait for them.
Don't quite understand why probate said tax payable but there isn't. Something to do with property charge and we have to show to tax office to reduce liability.
annoying as adding 6 weeks on. Still our buyers are not ready yet.
If you want to try the slow cooker idea pm me for quick ideas. You could even batch cook mash or baking potatoes and reheat as needed. Or nothing better than frying mash up the next day, serve with sausages, baked beans and an egg. Or if your kids will eat corned beef then bung some in mash and fry up.
I know lots of 10 minute meals:)

Glad you are sorted and feeling ok about tackling it.
Don't think I'm quite ready for a slow cooker yetTo be honest I'm hating all this cooking malarkey
:o and I'm only doing it because I need to keep my kids alive :rotfl:
I'm very bad at being organised at it and planning it and even worse at dealing with the stress that in itself causes
I went to a little Morries whilst at work today for lunch. I realised had nothing sorted for dinner, saw some youngs fish in an end of aisle fridge (aimed at muggles) picked it up and thought.....fish, chips, mushy peas.....sorted. I didn't read the pack and the fish was coated in lemon and black pepper crumby things.
DS2 won't eat at table. I sat down, started eating my fish and oh my it was very lemony! I Knew what was coming next
From upstairs.....
'MUUUUUUUUUUM! What did you do to this fish? It tastes funny and there's black bits on it' He'd reached the dining room by then and slammed it on the table declaring he wasn't eating itThen he said 'this is not good enough Mum. I've had 3 eatable dinners this week and 1 that was only eatable after I took the bad bits off'
Then to make it worse DD said 'don't moan, at least Dad was around to feed you properly most of your life. I grew up eating that stuff'

FC remember that as parents we all have strengths and weaknesses , your kids are where they are today , beautiful home and comfortable, because of your strengths not all of us are fanny craddicks but no one will die from burnt bits on their dinner:rotfl:The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0 -
Hi streelights,
Top part of pic is from new apg site
Bottom part is from old site.
I tried a TC# on both as got the 8 items message on old site.
I can access the old apg site in chrome/incognito, new apg site in chrome/normal browsing.
Hope that makes sense!
Hi Munqui thank I can still get it incognito on the old site, it still is not working. Thank you for explanation, I hope you sleep well.
Goodnight.Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.0 -
FC I have done exactly the same bought kievs that have been crumbed with lemon as not looked at the packet. DD3 won't eat them even after I peel all the coating off she still says it's lemony.
We are definitely joined to the hip when it comes to this [STRIKE]cooking[/STRIKE] reheating lark. :rotfl:
I really don't know what the answer is as I would be exactly the same as you. :eek:0 -

Great minds
I said would you rather have a nice dinner or a Mum to pay for your next computer/telly/phone/gadget....add device as appropriate
That set his wheels turning :rotfl:
Spoiled......they are used to both
I rang DS1 earlier for some sympathyHe told me I'd been a single mother for years but I'm only stressing about it because it's official  he may have a point
