Wouldn't Blame you at all. I don't see why a minority party should be able to rule over all of us. Its supposed to be majority rule ! And if we get access to certain benefits state funded education, prescriptions and care why shouldn't everyone else.

Yes I would feel very aggrieved if I was living in England x

The last true majority government was decades ago, as in getting more than 50% of the whole vote.
The SNP will not run the country, they propose "confidence and supply"
Unfortunately the media have not told the complete truth. For example, Trident, SNP are not for it. possible 40 seats, Labour and Conservatives are, possible 400+ plus seats between them. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that no matter what, Trident will be passed.
Why was there no media hysteria when Lib Dems went into coallition with the conservatives?

I've had this a few times - I am on a very ancient machine now and Ive still not updated to the new fangled version of IOS

My main problem though is random shut downs. I can be reading something and then the screen goes black - then you have to go to google, reopen, log in again, find the page you were at ...

I did wonder if I ought to take it into Brum and make an appointment to see a Google genius :rotfl: - but they would probably tell me its because I need to download the latest version - that would not cure the problem and would instead lead to an entire new world of problems

ios is the reason. all my problems with ipone 4 went away when I got the iphone 6.

Refugees, Assylum Seekers, people who just want a better life the issue is a mine field. We have been lucky to be born into a country with liberal views, some might say that the more refugees/Assylum seekers we allow into the country the more these liberal views and our own way of life are threatened. I would hate to be a politician trying to decide how many people we can take into the country and under what circumstances, I also personally think that refugees should be encouraged to return to their own countries if/when danger has passed if at all possible.
A very emotive subject, perhaps if less people came into the country just to find a better life to send money home to their families, we could afford to look after more desperate people who need help until their countries conflicts are resolved.

We should certainly thank our lucky stars that circumstances have meant we are blessed to be born in the UK and can turn a tap on for water and have the freedom to wear the clothes we choose, listen to music and countless other small freedoms too many to mention that are denied many throughout the world.

    Mhoc,
Don't know if it helps but I always give my local charity shop a ring to see if they can collect my donations (rspca) they are more than happy to send their van driver around plus they can give you a time which is a lot better.

    Morning everyone!

    I did wonder about that.

but Oxfam have a green bag tag scheme

    http://www.oxfam.org.uk/donate/donate-goods/tag-your-bag

so all the donations they sell are gift aided and OH gets nectar points so we can see when they have sold something we have donated - about £200 worth in the last 6 months.

And its next to Asda so its an excuse to go to Asda :)

The build up of Oxfam bags is not my doing. Eldest son was a fashion victim when he lived at home so by the time he was posted out he had a fine collection including 8 jackets and over 50 black t shirts  - not joking and that is probably an under estimate.

At the start of 2014 we did the big bedroom revamp so both boys bedrooms had to be stripped down and all of eldest sons stuff was bagged and boxed and this included the content of sons wardrobe which was still all at home (and more so as he came back from 3 years in Cyprus with 8 bags and rucksacks in the summer of 2013) so it was all put into giant plastic storage boxes, 8 of them, one for each thing - jeans, shorts, t-shirts, shirts, fleeces, jackets, uniform, etc

2014 he was still more out of the country than he was in the Uk so it wasn't until January this year that youngest brother insisted that his big brother sort through his wardrobe, mostly still in the giant boxes and then when they had finished there was 5 giant Oxfam bags which Ive been sorting through and dropping off ever since :D

anyway I had better get back to clearing up

Youngest son not back tonight after all - he is up north on a secret mission - they went up in heavy disguise in mini buses :rotfl: -

But todays biggest misery is my jawbone up band has died  - I've been wearing it constantly since last August and now the buttons are not working, it wont synch and generally its dead :( So after I'd tried all of the fixes, none of which worked I found the uk helpline and rang them and they are sending a replacement by courier next week.
He said it could be Friday but the courier would message me anyway - obviously its the week we are not around much and he will try to deliver when no one is at home

The old one has to be sent back to them which is going to be hard - quite sentimentally attached to it - places we have been together, its walked streets and towns and hills all over Europe with me - deep sigh

It was also the normal pattern of the day, the morning and evening downloads.

oh well as Miranda would say, on with the show ...
