he's actually looking forward to it. He does enjoy a day out if he gets enough advance notice to scrutinise the website, look at the route on google maps and generally have time to get his head round being somewhere different. I think the clincher that put his mind at rest was the fact he can eat lunch at his normal time because there are plenty of catering facilities on site
:rotfl: in his words 'saves me having to take my own sausage roll' :rotfl::rotfl:
Bless him it's a rough weekend for him. Visiting OH in new surroundings as well and it's a bit of a trek there and back. He's also google mapped that route. God help me if it takes me a minute more to reach any of these places than Google says it should :rotfl:
are you going home inbetween Harrogate and the Sunday trip?
I alos have to google map our trips out and I even print them off plus an alternative route if the first one is difficult - - don't quite trust the satnav esp since the day it took us off the main dual carriage way all through a tiny little village and then back out onto the dual carriageway :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Can anyone help please
I'm on my iPad and only when I'm on these forums when I scroll down there is an almost 5 second delay before it actually scrolls.
Doesn't happen with anything else.
I have tried closing it and reopening. Restarting the iPad but nothing works.
I would really appreciate any ideas.
Many thanks
I've had this a few times - I am on a very ancient machine now and Ive still not updated to the new fangled version of IOS
My main problem though is random shut downs. I can be reading something and then the screen goes black - then you have to go to google, reopen, log in again, find the page you were at ...
I did wonder if I ought to take it into Brum and make an appointment to see a Google genius :rotfl: - but they would probably tell me its because I need to download the latest version - that would not cure the problem and would instead lead to an entire new world of problems“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
This is why I don't now read newspapers or listen to the news if I can help it - its a sure fire way of making yourself miserable.
Yes its a head in the sand approach but its my coping mechanismI love pink and fluffy and also love forthright and opinions. The other day I had to turn the news off on the TV. I used to get angry, I used to rail at terrible events and spout hell and damnation on the perpetrators. Now I cry, useless really, what good does that do anyone. My heart seems to hurt more everyday. Where has our humanity gone. All I've seen this week are monsters in England ruining childrens lives, a world in chaos plunged into the dark ages in the Middle East and a world watching seemingly not spurred into action as desperate people are condemned to graves at the bottom of the sea.
and then
I come on here, and it may seem trite but the stories and the the tales and the chickens and the dogs and the glitches and the work stories and the diet stories and the funny stories and funny pictures and funny banter they make meand :rotfl:
and that can never be a bad thing, especially now. So go on, keep with the pink and the fluffy, you all make my heart hurt a little less. Thank you.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
