Supermarkets face PROBE..wheres David, when you need the double entendre police he's not around ...
probe into ripping customers off :
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3047872/UK-supermarkets-face-price-probe-bogus-bargains-Which.html
So really we're just anti rip off warriors turning their own systems against them , playing the long game, winning small battle after small battle in a global price war .............. discuss...
Tried opening the link and I can't get it to work.
But if supermarket didn't have ever changing prices /offers. The systems wouldn't glitch. It's because they try to take advantage out of ppl that we can take advantage out of them.I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. Target 12/2020 :rotfl:

Morning all
I had perhaps the best nights sleep ever last night :j
yesterday was a one egg day. I have no expectations today :rotfl:
I had scrambled egg for my dinner last night. I can't remember the last time I did that. I ate about half of it, it was nice when it was hot but as it cooled down, the texture and taste changed and my throat was telling me not to eat any more :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Savvybuyer wrote: »Is that the scheme under which, usually, you have to spend far more on groceries than you would ever spend in order to get a few pence off per litre of fuel that is almost always less than the cost the groceries cost in the first place? Not worth it therefore IMO:rotfl:.
It's a very popular type of promotion - and, boy do the stores make quite some money out of it I feel.
In my view:
(a) it's popular because therefore by definition a lot of people, probably a lot of muggles, go for it.
(b) As a lot of muggles go for it, to make it popular, it is therefore one to avoid!
And
(c) As the stores I feel must make quite some money from it, this can only be done by getting more money from the people who use the scheme (in purchases of groceries etc.) and therefore runs contrary to any money-saving aim by us.
Simple logic!
(I think you can probably save money on fuel from Mr T by moving to be near to a Mr T fuel station that is in the "unfortunate" position of having an A, with a fuel station right opposite it on the same road. What a shame, for them:rotfl:! The two fuel stations probably have to be right next to each other on opposite sides of the road - it's no good that they can be 'seen' by those who look - as my Sains., which is on another road but still a drive away from but can be seen from one side of my T carpark seems to demonstrate - the T can still have fuel higher prices than that since muggles can't drive literally across the road to it - nor are muggles in any way like that observant at all. We live in the same place as people who happily pay more for some products that are virtually identical, simply because of the labelling on the products.)
It is worth doing when you can get 3V (difficult to get hold of at the moment and can be difficult to spend) or conditional spends to generate spend, or BNI or other items you would buy anyway and you don't have to spend £50 in one go - each £50 spend gives you 2p off a litre of fuel, up to 20p per litre.

Morning all. Woke up to an email saying there had been suspected fraudulent activity on my credit card. It was addressed to me by name, quoted the last bit of my card number and asked me to ring the number on the back of the card. I'd made a large transaction yesterday relating to my mil's new kitchen so thought it was to do with that as not like my usual spending pattern. But when I rang them, I discovered that a test transaction had been put through in the US, followed by a large restaurant bill in Belgium :mad::mad:
I have no idea how anyone got my details, but now have the inconvenience of having no card until the new one arrives. Top marks to the card company for spotting it so quickly though :T:T:T0 -
Morning all - I've got a dental check up this morning so no loitering this morning ....
Does anyone have The Sun?
I had a look on the mse discount codes and the newspaper thread which shows the newspaper front covers. Sadly there are very few posts on the newspaper thread now so we probably miss some good mocs.
I noticed The Sun has in the bottom left hand corner a photo of a cup which says free coffee see page 40 - might only be a Weatherspoons one but it's not easy to tell from the photo.
Possibly its a sun perks thing????
Is there a sun perks thread anywhere - if not someone ought to start a sticky - I am sure we must be missing useful things. Last Wednesday there was a free pint if beer with sun perks, again a photo on the cover but it was late afternoon when I saw it - might never have been mentioned anywhere.
I was keen to start another sun perks membership until someone said they reclaimed previous months membership fees.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Good morning everybody, I hope you are well enjoy this lovely sunny Tuesday.
