has this been mooted/brought up here yet..tesco fuel save extension possibly ?
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/tesco-clubcard-fuel-save-extended-until-end-july-saving-up-20p-per-litre-off-your-2190892
Is that the scheme under which, usually, you have to spend far more on groceries than you would ever spend in order to get a few pence off per litre of fuel that is almost always less than the cost the groceries cost in the first place? Not worth it therefore IMO:rotfl:.
It's a very popular type of promotion - and, boy do the stores make quite some money out of it I feel.
In my view:
(a) it's popular because therefore by definition a lot of people, probably a lot of muggles, go for it.
(b) As a lot of muggles go for it, to make it popular, it is therefore one to avoid!
And
(c) As the stores I feel must make quite some money from it, this can only be done by getting more money from the people who use the scheme (in purchases of groceries etc.) and therefore runs contrary to any money-saving aim by us.
Simple logic!
(I think you can probably save money on fuel from Mr T by moving to be near to a Mr T fuel station that is in the "unfortunate" position of having an A, with a fuel station right opposite it on the same road. What a shame, for them:rotfl:! The two fuel stations probably have to be right next to each other on opposite sides of the road - it's no good that they can be 'seen' by those who look - as my Sains., which is on another road but still a drive away from but can be seen from one side of my T carpark seems to demonstrate - the T can still have fuel higher prices than that since muggles can't drive literally across the road to it - nor are muggles in any way like that observant at all. We live in the same place as people who happily pay more for some products that are virtually identical, simply because of the labelling on the products.)0 -

It may be okay, but check with a pharmacist first. Remember, a lot of prescription drugs are based on natures products.
David - Bee Propolis is really just like eating loads of honey that hasn't been filtered so you still have the cell walls - the part that acts as a 'natural' antibiotic. Tea Tree is well know as a great antiseptic - In the wars everyone in Aus who worked on the Tea Tree Plantations in Aus were actively encouraged not to go to war as they were in an essential occupation. Every Aus soldier had Tea Tree in their kitbag.
When I worked in major pharmaceutical labs, many years ago I had the old desk of the about to retire director & found it full of herbs. When he started as a young pharmacist he told me that over half the products then were herbs and natural products. Sadly today most drugs are chemically produced & I often think nature is best in that sometimes the WHOLE plant is needed instead of a chemically produced active ingredient. Maybe the whole plant is needed because the non active ingredients stop the side effects?
I look into things excessively, as my mother passed away because of horrendous side effects of her diabetic drugs which granulated her liver & lungs. The specialist said although rare he'd seen it before with same drug BUT wouldn't go up against them. I remember all the horrendous letters from patients we used to see when retesting the drugs for purity. I was never a "friendly tester" but I was dismayed when someone in the lab spent more time calculating their 'good result' than actually assaying them properly.
The pharmaceuticals couldn't give a damn about patients, all they want is the almighty dollar. A very good friend/colleague of mine became Head of Research and some of his wonderful 'cures' that had gone through some clinical trials with outstanding results were never released, they keep the patents too for I think 40yrs? as if they were released they could cure people & who would they get to prescribe their profitable potions if there was no longer any problem? He got VERY disillusioned very quickly!
I'd use bee propolis & tea tree alongside any antibiotic as they are totally natural & have been around for millennia. The only people who shouldn't take is someone allergic to honey or very young children. Propolis also helps to up the immune system.0 -

Watch out for new Domestos Turbo rim blocks in A in case they appear there and are put onto the 2 for £2:
http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Shopping/FindProducts.aspx?Query=domestos+turbo&Store=Sainsburys
Just so you know, I wouldn't buy the Turbo Fresh Lemon at £2.30 in Sains. It's currently 99p in M.0 -

I know - a very good warning. I would never have bought them on vs M as they do compare vs £2.00:(. (Not that that price is right or wrong but really is one to catch you out:(.) Another I would avoid, although not as drastic, vs M are the Imperial Leather shower gels/creams 250ml, at least if getting the A mbuy 4 for £3 on the comp. Including this one:
Imperial Leather Classic Revitalising Shower Gel (250ml)
which, like others, is 85p in M. Or maybe it is quite a new product and therefore would still return N/A vs M? Anyway, I wouldn't risk it.0 -
M list is now 'completed' again - and you can see what's changed on there. Not much. Tetley 240 teabags are off (but some in M will doubtless be taken by the red border £4 labels*), along with the Kipling Mini Battenbergs and a couple of the Birds Eye Steamfresh. Offer now moved to others in the range - but typical that A no longer appears to sell the Mediterranean Vegetable Rice or the Egg Fried Rice & Peas, the very two that are now on £1 in M:mad:. One would think they went deliberately OOS on items as soon as the competitor went on good offer, I wouldn't put it past them!
Glorious soups going off as mentioned, and I suspect the colourants have gone by now. There are now only a few left, and so few and each only in a certain store, that I reckon they would all be N/A return now.
As for 'new' items (new entries), the Rice Krispies Squares Totally Chocolately are now showing 99p pricing in M, right at the time when they are now probably of no use. You can see the rest on there. I've snuck an additional JF Hairspray into there (£4.79 vs £3.19) - was probably available last week but just an additional version from another store - hence the not using bold text - might not work anyway as probably too new an item?
I've removed the Yazoo chilled milkshakes and the Cadbury Puddings from Tvs M as they've gone back up in price. And the items that go onto the list instead - well, you can see them on there.
I'm flipping around what's on and what's off - the big KTC Veg Oil did go up in price from £4 to £5 last time (I think I remember I used only one store on Wednesday?) - it does help to put a nice big red border label with "Only £5" on it, as they have in one of my stores just now. Avoid - it's not "only" £5 (the word "only" which, to me, seeks to minimise the price) as it was lower in price before, £4. So, don't let that word "only" make you think it's it's lowest price!;)
The 20p on the pack of mixed ballpoint pens (some green, some red) appears to be no more - my store that had them now showing 40p. But the "More" points on the Savers ones still on - works out same price per pen (as old 20p on the others) once you ever spend the more points that you get from them.
Meanwhile, I noticed a stock-out of Chewits 4 pack multipack on one of the stores this time. They've been on 71p "everyday low price" for ages. Not the lowest I've ever seen - as I have seen 67p in T before (quite infrequently). And I bet you've all had 1ps as you're much better than me:rotfl:. Just coincidence that the store that had sold out of them now had a big 71p red price label on there:rotfl: - it does help! Not an "offer" at all, in the sense of being everyday that price for I think eleven months (they went to the 71p when the "M cheaper" began - and didn't that begin in May last year?) but the muggles no doubt all of a sudden seem to have gone for it:rotfl::wall::rotfl::rotfl:.
*Were £2.74 very briefly.0 -
For anyone still looking for Tikka, surprisingly little A stocks it too
.
Has anyone else noticed that they have significantly reduced the Smart Price range in little A? Even more difficult now to get a cheap shop.
Minor potential glitch - a multi is not showing on MSM for fresh garlic bulbs in A where they are 25p, 2 for 40p - will report back what it appears on apg as in a few hours but not worth rushing out for.

I mentioned this sort of thing before - "same prices in every store". So it wouldn't surprise me to find the SP range reducing:mad::mad: as it's a way of increasing the costs of people's shopping whilst still being able to say "same prices in every store". IMO. I have one A supermarket that is quite big though - and surprised to find a wider range of Baxters soups in there the other week than I could find in my main store. I suspect it will be out of SP stuff. It's annoying - the solution (certainly for me, but I know may be no use to people stuck with only a supermarket near to them) is never to go there anymore and only shop in the main stores. I already failed to do a shop in my ex-Nettos when I wanted some cloths, and couldn't find any SP cloths at all:mad: - they wanted me only to get the more expensive cloths. (I was having none of that idea!) So there is certainly a reduced range - and sometimes they have a size that is exclusive to the small stores - such as the 2Kg white potatoes that can then be charged more expensive per kg for than the versions in their main stores. The cost of "convenience". The 2Kg is worse than useless:rotfl: - it doesn't even count as an item on the APG because it's only stocked in the small stores and isn't sold online. Useless perhaps the "new APG site" users have items that aren't on msm available to them:rotfl:?
In the As earlier today, no use with any wombles. People all not buying enough different items - lots of duplicate items, but 6 different items on one:(, 6 on the other:(. Again, Mr A knows all about this and the number of items required is not a figure plucked out of the air. Instead, on the contrary, it is a scientific and tactically-set figure. I suspect their data shows that the vast majority of shops are 7 different items or fewer (certainly many of the "top-up" shops that people do) and that therefore they won't need to subject to the APG. I suspect the data goes fairly consistently up to 7 items, and then there is a big drop in the number that contain 8 items or more. Except for the general "weekly shops" of course - possibly the most inefficient way of shopping (along with the useless top-ups that don't meet the criteria), where people just go mad and pick up lots of unintended items, all carefully placed in the stores, and of course just load everything together, offsetting against one store and another and generally coming out either way cheaper (due to the impulse buys of 'offers' and the expensive mbuy offers that see people buying way beyond necessary for around the same unit price as elsewhere, and thus reduce contribution to a 10%, thus making it more likely to be lost altogether on some of the 'r'backs' that, in the store, look good) or else not being so different from the other stores that the 10% value is a couple of quid or so on a very large (and expensive) shop.
And, anyway, I don't know how I manage to write this much and go on and on...:rotfl::rotfl:
The Garlic has long been 25p and 2 for 40p (mbuy no show) but stopped comparing against M so left it without any good comparison.
That's it, thankfully, for now. Goodnight folks:wave: (or good morning as you are probably coming in to this!:D:hello:).:wave:0 -
Morning elite  been awake for over an hour now, I think I'm all outta sleep
