I spend £400-500 per month, online shopping, fuel, groceries, can I make cash from a credit card? How much?

Yes, one which pays you cash back. How much you make depends which you get. All the info you need already on this site - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/?tab=sect4

I read that the top cashback card pays you 1% for spending £3,500-7,500 per year (which is achievable by me)

so we are talking about £35-75 per year? really not that big deal

so I understand after reading the guides that there are basically two ways to take advantage of credit cards:

    1) cards that offer 0% interest for several months, so you spend on them and place your money in a deposit bank account, where you get the interest

    2) rewards where the cards pay you cash but you have to pay the full amount each month

    do i miss anything?

I don't think you can make much money out of it, maybe £100 per year?

that's why I asked my initial question and you were impatient to remind me about the guides, while all I needed was an estimation

'Fast-Stoozing' opportunities, eg muling fee-free BT deals* through a card which is only too happy to issue a credit balance refund.

    * Halifax, Santander, and Sainsburys at the moment.

OK I just took out a 123 cc and did not get enough of a credit limit to transfer either of my existing stoozed balances which was my intention but as they don't attract interest till 08/15 and 02/16 no panic. How can I use the 123 card for muling?

You've been given all the information in post #2.

You need to take the time to read through the links and work out how much you are likely to make each year by running your own figures through each card provider's options and not expect someone on here to do that for you.

If the figures are low e.g. £35-£75 (although some may argue it's £35-£75 you wouldn't have otherwise had) then the reason is you are not spending enough to qualify for the big bonuses.
