Wet patches inside roof of shed

The wooden roof of my shed has got wet patches & seems to be leaking, cannot find where!! My neighbour put a new roof last year and he has checked the felt looks fine and we do not understand where the leaks are coming from. He said it might be condensation but the shed is over 20 yrs and in a very good condition except for the unexplained leaks and this is the first time it has happened. The wooden roof is still in god condition but there are black patches like black mould etc. I am wondering what can I use to protect it from rotting. Can I apply the preservative like ronseal used on fences and shed? Thanks

Sometimes water can blow under the felt if the overlap isnt wide enough. I had same issue this year with mine even though its a new shed. In end I just run some soudaflex under the felt and it glued the two bits of felt together. It solved the problem for me

Other than that I get some wood preservative like ducksback

As above, or the wrong nails were used and the water is penetrating that way,

If I were trying to stop mould, I'd try to isolate the cause first. Otherwise, I'd only use a nasty, spirit-based product, like Creocote, Anything that's 'kind to plants' will be kind to mould....after all, it's a plant!

Where you can see the leak inside, probaby isn't where it's leaking on the outside. The water will be running along to a low point.
