Is there a way to print off contacts list from email account?
Someone else has asked me this....she has a dread of one day not being able to log in, perhaps if she dropped or lost her laptop. I have had a look and I can't find a way to do this. She wants a hard copy like an old address book would have been. I have to agree this would be very useful.

Wouldn't she be better off, exporting her contacts to a pen drive?0

What email program does she use? (e.g. MS Outlook)
Which email provider does she use? (e.g. GMail)0 -
Just had a look and although only a few steps its complicated. I might be able to help when i see her set-up.0 -

As nobody has yet pointed out the obvious I'll do it.
This is why backups were invented. They protect your data, including contacts, and enable you to get back up and running very quickly if the worst should happen.
Get an external USB drive, they're cheap enough and even the supermarkets sell them, and back her data up to that. They are easy to set up too.
Then she'll have her contacts, email, documents, photos and everything else. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -

Better than nothing but I meant proper backups not just a few files to a USB drive. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Your original requirement is to be able to print and keep a hard copy of the contacts from Outlook/Hotmail.
This is only possible indirectly by using the export option in Outlook/Hotmail, which produces a csv file. You would then have to use another application, like Excel, Google Drive, Open Office or something to open the file and print from that application.
Once logged into Outlook.com:
1) Click on the App menu in the top left corner
2) Click on People
3) Click on the Manage button along the top, next to the New button
4) In the menu, click on Export for Outlook.com and other services. This action will produce the csv file, which you can then save and open as a spreadsheet.0 -
Not sure which version of Outlook OP/OP's friend has but in Outlook 2013 (and I think 2010) go to Contacts, click File, Print and there are options to print the whole contacts database as either Card Style, Small Booklet, Medium Booklet, Memo Style or Phone Directory Style.0
