Good luck
Your house will feel so much better without so much stuff cluttering up the place too
Good luck trying to sell videos. Most people don't have a VCR any more so unless they are Disney or kids films (as some people put a video/tv combi in kids rooms/playrooms) you'll be hard pressed to get anyone to buy them. We couldn't even give ours away - the charity shops refuse them now as they know they can't sell them

Ironic cycle !
Buy............use for 1 month..............put in box............put box in back cupboard............clear cupboards out and store in loft/garage..............realise size debt...............sell on auction site

Gaz there is a blog ,becoming minimalist .I do a try to sell if not give to someone you know if not give to charity shop . My house is cleaner this year than it has been ever ,also try the one in one out policy to help reducing the buying .If I buy this ,what do i get rid off at home to make room for it I even have my kids following it . Goodluck with the challenge subscribedSo finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0

Harsh.... I'm getting huge inspiration from this thread, reading about the efforts people are putting in. Those sort of comments are neither helpful or wanted in my humblest of opinions of course.

This thread is giving me a bit of hope... I've been planning to do the same, but planning to do it all over the summer holidays, but had been warned off by a few people saying it's too time consuming for the return you get. this has given me the motivation to get started!soon to be a DFW! Head's out of the sand after my LBM!0

It is quite time consuming Little Cloud, especially when you start doing it and its unfamiliar and everything takes ages. You speed up quickly though and I have a good little system in place which takes me a few hours extra each week to prepare items for sale, upload pix and descriptions and wrap and send.
It is worth doing in my opinion. I've raised more than £1000+ since March. That's not income as its selling your own stuff off so its not taxable unless you are running a business. It is frustrating when good barely used items won't sell for a decent price, but its great when stuff which was just taking up space and collecting dust sells for more than you thought. Overall though...you get to clear space in your home and top up the empty coffers a bit and it has helped me make big inroads to my debt. Others said to me it was too time consuming and I should do a car boot sale. You get next to nothing from those round here. This was a better option for me. I will probably carry on til the house is empty!!Total debt at 18.9.17 £1950
