Firstly, no-one could post as much hurtful stuff as you do, & continue to do it, without knowing some pain would be caused by it. Secondly, you've been told many times that this side of the forum is for support, so if you want to post your opinions about bankruptcy & bankrupts you should post them in the discussion forum where they can be openly & far more appropriately discussed. Instead, you continue to post them here.Do not feed the trolls please.0

BH time and time again you say you never intended to hurt anyone but you continue to do so with thoughtless coments not relivent to the OP.
Has the time come for you to find a site that will condone narrow minded bigoted people like yourself.Rather than uppsetting people yet again by your humble opinion.
Thankfully you never replied to any of my early posts or I would have been so crushed I would not have come back and heaven alone knows what mess I would be in.However my post had replies from BR who had been there and had experiance and DFW who undestood I was trying to solve a desparate situation.Because of their understanding, advice and support me and my family were able to move forward.
Phil was one of those who helped and I am imensley greatful to him and disgusted that someone like you has ensured that he feels unable to carry on helping others on this site.
So can I suggest you stick to facts, read the posts at least twice and only reply with factual advice as you seem incapable of not hurting feelings when you offer an opinion.Better still leave the BR and living with it site altogether or have a mental health warning to protect others mental health next to your name. Some of the best lessons we ever learn,we learn from our mistakes and failures.the error of the past is the success and wisdom of the future. :j0 -
The thing that's confusing me is that if BH has such a low opinion of bankrupts, then why come here in the first place?!?!?!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0

Hi folks sorry that things have degenerated again.
BH, the issue is not just you posts on the BK board. There are times when you throw a small hand grenade into a thread just started by a newbie on DFW.
OK, many times I read the first post and realise that OP has a long way to come and is going to have to make some radical changes to their life and attitude in order to sort out the mess they are in.
My personal life was seriously affected by ANother's complete inability to manage money and what happened is still a major source of strife in my family, so I know how hard it can be to cope emotionally as well as practically with the fall out from financial difficulty.
I try, however ineffectively, to offer support to people initially and gradually lead the OP into a greater understanding of what action they need to take to sort things out, not to blast them with moral outrage. That simply frightens them off and prevents them from getting the help they need to sort things out.
Please can you think more carefully before you post. And please restrict your comments to the public arena. Having a go at people via PM is not fair. I would encourage people to copy them into the public site and report them so that every one can see what is happening and they can get a balanced reaction. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

The Open University does a course on personal finance which may help you be able to manage money better. Other than that there are many useful ideas on the boards.

That is snide, judgemental and unhelpful.
The rules of this boards include the following message from Martin.
While elsewhere on the site robust discussion is welcomed, in Debt Free Wannabee may I just caution MoneySavers to err on the side of kindness. Of course many are in debt due to over-spending, financial illiteracy, or mismanagement of money (and some through no fault, only due to circumstance). Yet the fact they are here means they're looking for help, guidance and to take charge of their finances - and that in itself is admirable
Please use your knowledge and kindness to help rather than to berate. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
It also shows a lack of understanding of the OU course. You and your money does not teach you to manage your money at all! It teaches about the economy, tax and about the stock market amongst othere things.
Not very helpful for the OP. Good luck OP I hope it all works out for you.0 -
I see things havent chanced... Benson & Hedges has been spouting bigoted opinions still...0

Pixie unfortunatly there are a few people who will take every chance they get to either have a pop at posters or insult them in anyway possible no where more so than on this board ,please please do not take a bit of notice of the rubbish they spout ,some people see themselves as being able to take some sort of moral high ground either that or they are so far up there own a** that they dont see what goes on in the real world .
Hold your head up high ,you are dealing with your extreme set of circumstances very well and trying to get through the best way you know how so be proud of yourself for that acheivment alone ,and of course it goes without saying that we will help you every step of the way .
