    This is still ongoing....

I paid privateparkingappeals to take this on for me when this arrived; they put an appeal in for me which was refused (obviously).

They were they supposed to put in a POPLA appeal, but instead I've received a "Letter before court" claim letter saying as I didn't appeal to POPLA now I need to pay the £100 or they'll take me to court.

I'm desperately trying to sort this out; PrivateParkingAppeals are saying they put an appeal in and did I not get a confirmation email from POPLA? Well no, I didn't and I didn't know to expect one so didn't notice it was missing.

So much stress and upset for something I should never have had in the first place. I've asked privateparkingappeals whether I should just be paying the £100 now if no one can say whether the POPLA went through or not :-( I've only got til Monday before that time is up too. No idea if I should be leaving it to them to sort; writing myself now; paying or what.
Was your POPLA code one with '1115' in the middle? PE have had a problem with those and are having to cancel them all where (according to the BPA) PE mucked up 'a small number of cases' and sent LBCCC letters out despite POPLA appeals being in. Who contacted you from the company you mention?

They can sort it out I am sure - and if it's a POPLA code with 1115 in the middle it will be cancelled by ParkingEye.

If you look at the port plan it looks to be just outside.

I agree. Here's the full link to ABP's plan of the port.

Although the actual map in the Byelaws is less detailed than this one, the boundary near the West Quay Road area seems to follow the same lines.

No it wasn't a code with 1115 in the middle :( And I still haven't had a response from my last 2 emails to PrivateParkingAppeals so the 14 day deadline has also passed now. I've emailed POPLA to see if I can find out from them what's happening.

There is no 14 day deadline that relates to appeals and any discount is not relevant when appealing.

I assume this was one where PE sent out a LBCCC in error and that it's now been cancelled, as lots were as they were already at POPLA? There was a particular date in May where cases were submitted to POPLA and yet PE seemed not to have known/realised and went straight to LBCCC. The timing of your case looks like it may have been one like that with POPLA appeal due late May. A complaint to the BPA by PPA Ltd has got all these cases cancelled although there's no clue what went wrong at PE's end.

    Was your case cancelled?
