Ring them, speak to complaints department. They may well tell you to just keep the damaged dress (do you think you can get the mark off) and then at least you'll have a clear conscience.

Don't worry, they'll be back in six months, asking for help on how it isn't fair that a county court summons has been sent.

Everyone on here are too quick to judge. I asked for a bit of advice not to be slated. What pleasure do you get out of being a stuck up snob to a young lady online? You have actually no idea do you. As for everyone who thinks I'm being greedy I wasn't asking because I wanted to have money and a dress, the dress is marked which is obviously no use to me hence why I wanted a replacement. I was simply asking why the company have not asked for it back and when would they be asking for it back! My local post office is a 45 minute bus ride and inconvient to me. I was asking for advice. As this was my first time on this forum I can happily say I will not be returning due to arrogant people like yourself.

If you return the marked dress (write FREEPOST on the envelope if you don't have a returns bag) then you'll be in exactly the same position as you started: no money spent, and no dress. You'll have wasted some time, but that can't be helped.

Next thing to do is to spend the money to buy a new dress.

Not, how should I go about returning it.

She does say that the post office is a 45 minute bus ride away, if you read her posts.

I do think people have been very harsh here, and have now scared off a newbie. Is that what the forum's for?
