I'm just curious, how much have you got in S&S that you want to transfer to cash ISA?
Just short of £30k, but down at least 1% this week

They are saying it could take that long. They are not saying it will take that long.
We'll see. I am not confident

Are you invested 100% in UK equity? (that is bad investing if you are)
    No

How much effect do you think the result of the UK election is going to have over in the USA, or France, or Hong Kong, or India, or Brazil, etc?

Phoned Invesco and they say it can take 30 days for the transfer to complete
I will report back when this has completed, but the whole point of this exercise was to get out before the Election

Can you not sell into cash and keep the cash in the Invesco S&S ISA? You don't need to transfer to a cash ISA to hold cash in a S&S account - though you'll get minimal interest. It's not like the return you get on a cash ISA for 3 weeks will be much better anyway.
It's usually expected that you're holding it in the S&S ISA until such time as you decide to reinvest it - but that could be never.

Good idea. Then means you can buy again very quickly should you need to and the result or the impact isn't what is expected.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
