Travel insurance quotes without revealing medical conditions?

Hi
I need annual worldwide Travel insurance but have a bad back and I am told price of cover goes right up so do I have to declare it if it is not likely to cause a problem as I take morphine anyway.
Does anyone know how to get a quote without giving personal details so I can check policy prices with and without cover?
Many thanks for any help?

It's not worth it. If, for instance, something happened whilst you were away and you HAD to make a claim to your Travel Insurance provider and they found that you had inadvertently, or deliberately not told them of ANY condition that you have or have had, then your insurance policy will be declared null and void. It's like throwing your money into the dustbin. I would seriously suggest that you reconsider your position.0

you can get online quotes with and without declaring to see the difference in price but if you fail to declare when you take out a policy it could well be invalid if you needed to claim for anything at all.
It is possible with some insurers to take out cover and declare medical conditions but choose not to be covered for them.0 -
A bad back doesn't make that much difference to price in my experience. I always declare it, & the IBS, & the head pain, the wife's heart problem, her "lady's troubles", etc. As long as it's all stable & under control.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

If you don't declare a medical condition and need to claim - for anything, not just something related to your undeclared condition - you may find that your policy is invalid.
A really bad idea to even consider this.0 -
Out of interest do you have issues taking morphine abroad? I imagine this would ring alarm bells and maybe prevent you going to some countries at all.0

You just create two fictitious people, who are the same age, gender etc but one has a bad back and the other doesnt. Do a quote online for each and see the price difference.
Whilst possibly interesting its a little irrelevant as you will have to declare it.
If you dont want cover for your bad back then it could be worth calling the seller and seeing if they will quote with it declared but excluded - unfortunately websites rarely offer this option. With an old policy we had they wanted an extra £20 a year to cover one of our conditions or no added cost if we didnt want it covered.0 -

Hi No I don't have any problems but have never been stopped but I do have to carry a prescription from the GP to carry it so I can prove it is mine and it is prescribed for me.0 -

Hi thank you for the advice. I did get quotes before declaring it but they wanted a few hundred pounds more so I was hoping to check prices without the cover as it takes forever to get a quote then have to go ahead and do a medical screen as well.0 -

Yes this would be a problem I guess but there is nothing any docs can do for my back so I have been told so I don't see the point in paying £200-£300 extra for it. Maybe I need to check a lot more polices.0 -

You won't get the kind of quote you need online, you need to actually speak to a person and ask for a quote for insurance that declares your back but doesn't cover any claim arising from it. That is not the same as not declaring it but there isn't usually that option on the online forms to declare but exclude.
However, be aware that just because 'there's nothing doctors can do' doesn't mean it might not lead to a claim. What would happen if your problem suddenly got worse so you couldn't travel, or you were incapacitated due to it getting worse while away and had to be medivac'ed home? Have the doctors guaranteed 100% that is will always stay the same, never get any worse, no matter what?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
