Travel insurance quotes without revealing medical conditions?

L&V are pretty straight forward for online quotes for my own pre-existing conditions maybe not the cheapest but we received excellent service when we made a claim
I know Post Office insurance will let you declare a condition then let u opt out of cover for it.0 -
The company I use, (and quite a few I've done dummy online quotes for), allow you to exclude a declared condition. Instead of endorsing your policy saying it's covered, they'll endorse it saying the cover was declined.
Just because they can't do anything for your back doesn't mean the condition shouldn't be declared. Anything in line with the medical questions asked should always be declared, and then declined if you choose to. The docs can't do anything to change the fact I've had malignant skin cancer, but I will have to declare it for as long as I want to buy insurance. It falls under the 'have you ever' category

There's a thread here from Debt Free Wanabee board showing what can happen.

What a heart-breaking post.
The sad thing is it sounds like these people weren't aware that they should have declared a pre-existing condition.
OP:
You posted this in response to my post #5 about your whole policy possibly being invalid if you needed to claim for anything if you hadn't declared a medical condition - even if your claim had nothing to do with your condition:
If you don't declare it you may as well not take any insurance out at all.fifitrix123 wrote: »Yes this would be a problem I guess but there is nothing any docs can do for my back so I have been told so I don't see the point in paying £200-£300 extra for it. Maybe I need to check a lot more polices.0 -
Might be worth investigating a Nationwide Flexplus account......0

Yes. A policy via a "packaged bank acc" may be the way to go.
With ours, via BOS, pre existing conditions are noted and excluded from cover, but the rest of the policy stands.0 -

Thank you but that only covers Europe and I am going to the USA hence the price of the cover shoots up even for a bad back!0 -
