Virgin media - Not auto reducing charges to current customers

Does anyone know when virgin media reduced the charges for non cable ADSL customers?

On looking to find info on sorting out the complete degradation in line speeds I've had (from 2Mb down to 0.2mb service! but thats a different story) I discovered that up to 1MB service is now £14.99 and up to 8MB is £17.99... but Virgin are still charging me £24.99 a month (!) as they have done for the 4.5 years I have been with them.

When I have asked via email about this they are advising they couldnt just change it (to what they have stated is completely the same service but now cheaper and change to it!). I have to do it online or request it. They just have to carry on charging me £24,99 until i do somethig about it! So they are basically saying "we'll keep charging you 10 quid a month more until the customer spots it".

Virgin have never emailed, rang, written to advise of the new prices. Bit naughty me thinks! How many other people are in this bought and Virgin are happily carrying on overcharging until you notice you should be getting it £10 a month cheaper?

I want to know how long its been cheaper for so I can push for a refund. For 12months I havn't even received a 1MB line service and getting charge.

Maybe one for martin mse?! Virgin in knowingly ripping off customers scandal?! Be nice for all customers to get a nice credit for whatever they ave been overcharged.
