Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

    Hi again Tony.

We have just returned from your part of the world. Had a great week staying in Guardamar, and weather was excellent except for Tuesday. Not been for a while so it was good to see all our old haunts still there. Caught up with a few friends who we hadn't seen in a while.

We went with some friends who are looking to relocate to the area and asked us to show them the 'sights'. They looked at some properties and were impressed with what they can get for their money, renting at least to start with. They seem to have fallen in love with La Marina and it looks like they will be off there in the next few months.

We shall be returning for 10 days or so in the new year. I just feel so 'at home' in the area and we are actively working towards spending several months a year there

    Hola Amigos

whats happening ? any thing interesting going on ?

It was a nice sunny day here in Spain today , but starting to cool off in the evenings now !
  • Hey Tony.
    Moving to Madrid on Saturday.
I have a few questions for you if you don't mind.
Is there a moneysavingexpert type site for Spain comparing things like bank accounts and credit cards etc?
I can speak Spanish so it fine if its a Spanish site.
Is there any problem buying a Car as a non-resident?
How does car insurance work in Spain, do you insure the car or the driver?
I will have a UK license but my OH has a Spanish license, is this an issue?
    Thanks
