Hi,
I have used a ready bed from Argos several times when camping & have always found it quite snug, although I always take a pillow & an extra blanket. As for lights not sure really we have always wild camped so have been able have campfires & used big candles. Would recommend taking extra socks to sleep in though. The camping chairs with the drink holders ion the arms are good too.
Have funLife's what you make it.:j0 -
Get some glow sticks (cheap on ebay), they are good fun for kids and can glow all night.
The tables with built in seats aren't very comfy and not very strong but would be ok for kids......0 -
Hi,
A lot of good family campsites have play areas or pools to keep them occupied. A good site to look at is www.ukcampsites.co.uk. Depending on where you camp it might be a good idea to take an insect repellent. The little ones wont be happy if the midges get them. I used to take my daughter and bought her a little camping chair. They cost about £5 each from argos. As for sleeping, let them take a pillow from there bed. My daughter loved camping until she hit her teens!! So enjoy it as much as you can and check the forecast. Not much fun sat cooped up in a small tent with toddlers.0 -

woolworths have rechargable lanterns at £14.50 that can be charged in the car - getting one today for my first trip in 20 yrs in a tent,
I looked at the table and chairs all in one but not very flexable so always have to have table up if you want a seat so personally going for seperate but it is two adults camping as opposed to familyI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0 -

Cross the channel and do your camping in France. You'll never want to set foot in a ghastly excuse for a camp site in the UK again! Seriously, the French know how to do clean facilities at a good price.0 -
Hi, last year we went camping in devon. WE went to a campsite called Dornafield. Its near totnes and newton abbot. The best site i have ever been on! Check out their website.0

Buy a couple of roll-mats/take an extra couple of blankets to lay UNDER the sleeping bags to stop the cold from rising up through the bed and try to get their jimmies on before it goes cold (so that they're not stripping off once it's nippy). It aint over til I've done singing....0

Hot water bottles are useful to warm up the beds and cuddle up to when inside! Camping lamps from Lidl /Aldi are very good especially the halogen ones. Can recommend Cofton in Devon, loads for kids to do http://www.coftonholidays.co.uk/0
