Thanks for the post, seems like a great deal. Probably not going to go for it myself seeing as I already have chips, peas and fish fingers in the freezer, and don't need the apple strudel, but am definitely going to keep an eye out for their next frozen deal!0 -
I saw the offer today, will get it in a few days. Not much room in the freezer at the moment!0

It is obvious that IF you prefer unbranded products, you could buy similar for a bit less but it certainly looks like a reasonable deal to me.
It's just a pity that a list of participating stores is n't available as this section is blank on the Co-op website. Has anyone managed to find one?0 -
Ah, if I'd clicked the arrow I would have found the list of participating stores. Got it now thanks.0

The only branded item in the offer is the Harry Ramsdens fish. You can getall the rest on "own-brand" labels for between 50 & 80p each elsewhere0 -

the Co-operative has just sold six large food stores. The buyers? Aldi, which snapped up five, and Lidl, which bought one.

The Co-Op is getting out of the supermarket business. It's all convenience stores now.:)0 -

Pros: We bought fish & oven chips, peas, apple strudel & vanilla ice-cream for 4 ppl! for £5 & the portions on all but the fish were generous. In theory, a great deal.
Cons: However, I am never buying it again as the quality was poor -someone in another comment called it junk but a treat, well, it is junk (apart from the peas) but I'd never call it a treat! I never normally buy frozen oven chips & they are absolutely vile! The fish was reformed stuff but tolerable for the price. Strudel (which burnt when cooked according to their instructions, whilst the oven chips were under-cooked -so check both regularly!) -well the apple inside was nice, pastry not. Ice-cream cheap. Much better off, if ur in a rush, getting a meal-deal from Tescos for 2 for £10 but the food is good-quality, nice & comes with v good wine!0
