1 x Chicago Town stuffed crust limited edition (pulled pork) Takeaway pizza
1 x Coop Garlic Baguettes twin pack 310g
    1 x Coop Potato Wedges bag 750g
    1 x Coop Onion Rings bag 454g
1 x 1litre tub of Mackies ice cream

For a quick price comparison I had a look in Lidl this morning

Obviously not "Chicago Town" pizza , but stuffed crust pizza at £1 or £1.50
Garlic Baguettes 59p for same size of Lidl own brand
Potato Wedges 59p for same size of Lidl own brand
Onion Rings 59p for same size of Lidl own brand
Ice Cream £2 for 1L of a branded ice cream or £1 for 2L of a Lidl product

so you can get very much an equivalent selection at Lidl for between
£3.77 and £5.27 ( and I would guess Aldi would be very similar prices )

I have no doubt you are right, but my nearest Aldi or Lidl is a £6.40 return bus journey, over an hour each way. Co-op is a 5 minute walk. So it works for me, but not necessarily everyone.

None of those are really branded though.
May aswell just say why not get tesco value of all of these?

You pay for the brand name but in this case the saving is good as the branded items are all very expensive (especially at co-op prices!) :)

the bread, potato & onion rings arent branded on the co=op offer.
Tesco value is nothing compared to "standard" Lidl products
  • Got this offer yesterday in Bromley Cross. Not a huge fan of the pizza flavour but it was a good deal!
  • Also, Mackies vanilla ice cream is gorgeous.
  • I use Aldi for a lot of things (No Lidl near enough) and quality is good on most things, but Mackie's Ice Cream and Chicago Town stuffed crust are at a different level of quality if you know what I mean x

Still doesn't matter as I have no Co-op near by doing the offer!

What C0-OP is the offer on at any one who has managed to get it please?

I have the ordinary CO-OP that used to be Somerfield and East of England CO-OP so is this regional perhaps?

  • I heard that the next £5 frozen deal is going to be a good one and it will be in around 1500 of their shops, so keep an eye out
