Solar heating wanted in Swindon

I would really like to install solar panels on our roof for hot water usage. We are going to have our boiler replaced as it is old and not working properly and have had a great quote. Is is best to get the whole thing done together or do we need the boiler fitted and then get the solar panels fitted?
Also I would love to get a grant for the solar panels but not sure if i am entitled as i am not over 60 and not on any benefits? I am self employed and on a tight budget.
I am hoping that fitting the solar panels will reduce our bills and add a little more environmental saving to my already on the way to eco house.
Any help or guidance is very welcome.
Thanks in advance:T

You want to forget it, Leopard, waste of money.
I have a manual system, i.e. not on the roof, and get perfectly hot/warm water without the capital expense.
Up to 20 litres a day and struggle to use half that.
EST have just sent me latest info, £150 grant towards panels for anyone.
Cheap insulation (with help from grants) is the way to go.0 -
There are lots of posts on this in the 'Green' forum on this site.
As Ken68 states above in money saving terms they are a complete waste of time.0
