How long will DMP marker stay on file

Options
I am just coming to the end of my DMP, thank God. Long slog but will be clear later this year
My last default is now off.
The only snag is MBNA/Moorgate who will haunt me for another few yrs with AP markers. (I have 3 yrs of greens as I am now paying more than the min, and 1 yr of APs, although I've been on the DMP for 8 yrs)
I checked my stat report on equifax, and although all the defaults are off, it is still marked as red (Warning!!) for financial which I assume is because of the AP markers and the note on the account that it is in a DMP.
Does anyone know, will that note stay on the file once the DMP is cleared?? (ie will it be visible for 6 yrs?)

How long of agreement did you have with mbna I was badly caught with them I entered a ten year repayment plan in 2008 a year in to a dmp so had over a year of reduced payments shown before but I paid one account of last year hope the other will be cleared by the end if the year. They still report a r on both accounts and FOS ruled that they were in there rights to do this for full 10 plus 6 so expect them to be about a long time

Yes the previous 6 years history will be frozen and displayed for another 6 years from date you settle the account.

Thats why MBNA do this as they spitefully prefer to screw your credit file for 12 years at least if you dare to go on a DMP rather than just the 6 as they should do if they properly defaulted it.

You do not get settled on mbna accounts like you do other people's that way they stay red with dmp marker, also to make sure you are well and truly screwed they leave your credit Limit on your credit file which counts as available credit I have one 11000 and 11500 even thou not had a card since 2007 mbna are a truely evil company

They have to mark the account settled or satisfied if they have been.

With them you enter a repayment plan they call it a ten year pay down agreement I entered in July 2008 to keep this account alive they add one pound and deduct the pound my agreements were I over payed a lot from 2010 clear one last year i still get the statement pound in pound out tried to have the a r changed to to default but fos said it s a formal ten year agreement that have to stand for 10 years then plus 6 and as the person says on cra it shows red

    Thanks. I thought so.
    So annoying..
The only creditors that didn't default me. I didn't know any better at the time, or I would just have not paid it until they did default me.
By the time that's off my file I wont have a hope in hell of getting a mortgage as I will be too old.

As usual none of what you say makes sense. :rotfl:

If the account is settled or satisfied they must mark the CRA record to show that. Colour codes are irrelevant and just CRA bumf.

Complain. Take it to the FOS.

Ignore dumpy as their decision by the FOS was either very odd or incorrect or more likely is not exactly accurate.

Complain complain complain. Always. Then take it to the ICO, FOS etc.

    You have nothing to lose.

I wrote to them, they said no.
Basically, MBNA hounded me when I got into difficulties (They were the worst of my creditors), and when I started the DMP with payplan, I didn't communicate with them at all because it was too stressful.
They got Payplan to increase payments slightly, and wrote to me to let me know that I agreed to x amount per month, and therefore my credit files would be adversely affected etc etc
I didn't realise I even had the letter, until I wrote to them last year. They told me so I checked my MBNA paper files and there it was.
So while annoying, it all seems to be accurately reported.

I have not seen one person report a victory against MBNA AP/AR markers after taking to ICO/FOS so I doubt it would get anywhere.

Please do ignore me if you want, please complain the more people that do it might get picked up by the fca I am in the process of trying to get my mp interested in the ico never did answear it the complaint I think they duck out saying they can only look at how it s reported and as mbna had sent me a letter in July 2008 when entered agreement saying an arrangement will be reported for 10 plus six years it is an accurate reflection, but like I say the credit limit shows as available with the cra and the red marker head dmp still shows ,they credit one pound to the account and deduct one a month surely some one else on here has this I know you do not believe it happens
