Ants and council properties

Unless you're willing to live with the ants then you will need to get over your objections to killing a few of them. Suggest you try some of the sprays which dry on the surface so inedible by the cats or bait-stations where the bait is inaccessibly to cats.
You are making your own problem more difficult - I had the exactly same issue last week, £1 of ant powder and 5mins dusting it around the foundations and I haven't seen an ant since.

I'm not making anything more difficult. Humans are obsessed with using death as a method to deal with things that can be dealt with without any killing. They have no respect for the wildlife around them. All I saw in stores was 'killer' 'killer' 'killer'. It's disgusting. We are not superior beings. And we have no right to play god over the lives of other beings.I can't believe that I'm reading this. If the OP had a fly in the living room , presumably she/he would expect the Council to come round and put up a flypaper.
In any case, a few ants is not an infestation.. Some people really seem to expect to be spoon fed.
You want to try living in your own property and then see who you can call to fix every little problem, free of charge.
Shows you haven't even read my OP. I would never use flypaper. I would open a window and waft it out. As is, flies do not swarm my house and the spiders deal with them.
It's not a few ants. There were about 50 or so the other day when I came back from a day out.
There is no 'spoon fed' about it. I pay my rent, I pay my bills, I only have a council property because I am disabled and cannot live in a building with stairs due to my condition. As is I have only had to call the council a few times. Those were the wet room was flooding the hallway when having a shower, the extraction fans were not working, and flooding outside because there had been no drainage put in by the council. All council approved jobs.
Maybe you should read the OP before attacking the poster. But that would be too much like hard work for you, wouldn't it? Being nice is not your forte is it?Bury a pot of jam in the garden and they will go for that instead
Thankyou for a more sensible idea. I will look to doing that once I've got my garden sorted out.0 -
The man who invents a flood proof door will become a millionaire very quickly. There's no such thing currently available..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
